Fitted exactly and pump works well again

The shower pump was running continuously so I purchased the flow switch body kit intending to use it for cold water and replace the washer on the faulty item with a silicon version to use in the hot water side of the pump. My cunning plan unfortunately didn't work out as I couldn't remove the brass sleeve holding in the magnet carrier. I tried all sorts of descaler and mechanical force to no avail.I purchased a second body kit for the hot side and changed the rubber washer for a silicon one which hopefully won't distort to the same extent.Everything is now working fine.Some reviewers have stated that Stuart Turner should just supply new washers but hopefully this review might give some people food for thought.

Had a sticking pump system. These parts fixed problem and easy to fit. Up and running in no time.

Really easy to fit, took about 15mins. Fixed my pump which was staying switched on even when the hot water had been turned off. When I removed the old part easy to see why there was a failure. I think the heat of the hot water deteriorates the existing part.

This is the second time I have had to purchase this replacement part for my monsoon shower pump and it has fixed the problem I have had where the pump continuously runs. My only problem is that you have to buy the whole kit when the issue is the rubber washer has expanded and stuck in the housing. I suspect this is to do with the temperature of my hot water which is effecting the washer. Would be better if these were fitted with heat resistant washer to begin with and when it goes in 3 or 4 years time I might see if I can just replace the washer than buying the whole housing.

This is a brilliant little repair kit containing everything you need. Took about 30 mins to restore pump to normal working and saved an expensive call out to a professional plumber.Thank you Stuart Turner for making this available to the general public!

The washer on these flow switches fail after several years causing the pump to stick in ON mode. but you cant just buy the washer and if you could you need to break the custom sized magnet off to replace it. Ideally you would be able to buy the washer and magnet in a kit for £3 but instead you have to buy this whole brass setup and throw the old brass fittings away. Expensive and wasteful but its a great pump so have no choice. All working again now
