Update! Please read!! Junk! Don't do it!! Price is tempting but not worth it!!
It dont turn on, the display never turned on! Two packs, different brand batteries, one from walmart one from lowes and still nothing... water passes through no issue, but never ignited and thermostat never turned on!! Made cheaply! Go to your local lowes or home depot and get something there instead!! You'll thank me!*****UPDATE****** I tested this unit shortly after I bought it with no propane hooked up to it. This week I hooked up the tank to give it one more shot, it lit up and the digital meter also turned on. It reads in Celsius only and can't change it. It does heat up water but takes a lot to dial it in, has a thin line from not warm to very hot. I can imagine on very hot it'll waste a ton of propane quick but haven't tested that. You can definitely mix cold and hot if used on hotest setting tho.

Great value for a great water heater
The user "manual" that comes with the unit is pretty much worthless so look at the pictures on Amazon for installation.You need to look hard at the battery door to find which way the batteries go in, positive + up in the rear hole, negative - down in the front hole.Buy the adapter fittings from Amazon at the same time you buy the unit, it will save you time and money.We needed a hot water heater for our laundry room and this water heater works great. Our well water is 41 degrees and this heater gets it up to 125 degrees in less than 30 seconds. Very impressed. Still playing with getting everything dialed in but so far, so good.

Fantastic customer service
Fantastic customer service replaced bad one.Came slightly crushed on top corner. Hooked it all up with a 3.5gph pump with half inch piping.Fires up good but if you wait Hot water look elsewhere.Turned on high flame, high temp and on winter set its like warm and intermittent.Not happy!Of course now its past return time.Zero stars!

Works as advertised.
Easy to install with a little experience. Worked first time of asking. Only used to provide hot water for a home dog bathing set up so no big demands on it. I would recommend it.

Like to add if any future models please install the battery compartment 5 to 6 in, above and away from any water or gas intake and out,, and it will be 100% it still a good product
