Vincent van Gogh: Meet the Artist!

I love this series of artists books
I love this series of artists books. Meant for kids that are five years old or older (because of the delicate and small parts) they are great because they include interactive elements and give a good sense of the artist in an engaging way.

A toy in a shape of a book
This book is bright and has lots of beautifully crafted interactive elements, but as a result, this book simply doesn't work. My 7 years old daughter, who has just finished reading "Who was Pablo Picasso", doesn't want to read this one - she wants to play with it. She isn't interested in the text, cause there is a cardboard room to assemble. And speaking of the text - it isn't that much of it. Information is spread around the pages in bubbles, captions, backsides of cards and so on, which creates additional mess.I'm not sure why it is rated for grade level 2 - 7, it is a beginning of first grade at best.

Wonderful book. My 5 y
Wonderful book. My 5 y.o. got it as a Christmas present from my sister and we just finished it now. We both loved it. Love the interactive parts and my daughter was so immersed in the story and the art works. The furniture building at the end is an added bonus.

A great introduction to Van Gogh
This is a stunning book with beautiful images and pop up pages, furniture to make for Vincent's bedroom and easy to understand information for young readers. I bought this for a nine year old and he loved it....
