Bay Circuit Trail Map & Guide Map – Folded Map, August 15, 2015

1. This isn't a map of the BCT - it's a map of every hiking trail that falls within the vicinity of the BCT. All helpfully coded in the same color to confuse the person trying to traverse the BCT.2. Since in many places the BCT goes in two wildly differing directions, and since there are also huge gaps in the Trail with no real suggestions about how to get around them, the question arises: Is there yet a BCT?3. This is no guide: are there shelters or campsites? ok, not really. can we have a guide to what's nearby? this ain't that, as the saying goes... how did anyone manage to cover 230 miles of trail without places to camp? do they take an uber every night to a local Motel?I applaud the amazing work that went into this, but throw it at a few out of state hikers hearing of the BCT for the first time, and they would tell you how to transform this into something usable...

I bought this because I am temporarily disabled and I was looking for some easy trails to walk. But at least in the central portion, these look like real trails, not the old roads I was looking for.

Was really excited to get the bay circuit trail map set as my hiking group and I have been tackling 8-14 mile sections at a time since January 2019. Got the maps and found there is hardly any use for them. There aren't miles associated with sections of trail like on White Mountain Maps... The maps are so big they're really hard to open and close. The maps are so zoomed out you can't see pertinent details of twists and turns... I basically expected 14 maps not three and I expected some mileage and descriptions to be included so I did not have to keep printing them off from baycircuit.org. I think a Bay Circuit Guide like the AWOL or even the GMC Long Trail End to Enders guide would be way more effective.

These maps are very detailed AND durable! I've taken them out many times while hiking, folding and unfolding them without any noticeable fatigue on the folds. They hold up great when damp too!

These maps are awesome, even if you are just looking for some hiking opportunities anywhere in eastern Massachusetts (not just the Bay Circuit Trail).Larry Garland is an amazing cartographer, and this is perhaps his finest work.Can't wait to knock off more sections of this amazing trail.

AWESOME maps! The maps are the most highly detailed maps i've ever seen! You won't get lost in Metrowest, and you will discover how diverse this area of the Bay State is.
