Bought as a present
My American mate (ex-USAF) is into this sort of subject. And with him living down this part of the world he's already found some of the disused bases.

Very well received present
Bought for a relative who experienced the Second World War as a child in Suffolk. He loves the book!

This and the others in the series are very well researched, and extremely well written. The details are very interesting. Covering a lot of airfields, the volume detailing Suffolk is most relevant to me, as I live in the county, and am surrounded by many of the facilities. Graham's text brings the airfield alive..

A general description rather than detailed analysis and content.
I was a little disappointed with the generality of the information. I think you could Google most of the content whereas I would have liked more detailed, pertinent information and maps etc. to have been included. In this respect, I found " Ghost Fields of Suffolk" far more interesting and useful.

I was delighted to learn from this book that RAF Leiston was ...
Having done the basic training for my RAF National Service in early 1946 at RAF Leiston, which I knew had been an airfield for the magnificent Mustang Fighters (Which were able to accompany bomber streams all the way to Berlin), I was delighted to learn from this book that RAF Leiston was the base for the crack Mustang Fighter Group of the US Air Force in Northern Europe. We were literally following in the footsteps of heroes!.
