Yet another outstanding historical novel from Sarah Lark
I greatly enjoyed Sarah Lark's two previous New Zealand trilogies. As with those books, The Fire Blossom has a strong story line, well grounded in historical and cultural research. I look forward to the remaining books in this trilogy.

Breathing New Zealand history
I love the way Sarah weaves her way in and out of fact and fiction, making the history of New Zealandβs South Island breathe and live. Mauri, immigrants, sheep, love, drama, survival - what more do you need.

Great book.
I have read several books by this author, and this did not disappoint. I love the way the history of settlers in New Zealand is retold through fiction. Sara us honest in aknowledging which parts of the storyline are vased on fact from ger research and which are complete fiction. I have visited New Zealand and travelled around both islands, so it is good to read about the early days when Europeans began to settle there and their bullying tactics to gain superiority over the Maori. We are not superior, and it is good that NZ is trying to now put right the damage caused,

Captivating, front to back, cant wait for 2nd book.
I have just loved this book, couldn't put it down, I will tell others most definitely, how exciting it is, I am not sure how much is based on fact, but I can at least believe that it took place like that .
