Wrangler is a traditional style pitching horseshoe based on the Glory Horseshoe… originally developed in 1992. Glory became a Thoroughbred Horseshoe in 1996 and was recently modernized, vastly improving its hooking power. It’s an all new shoe and thus needed a new name, hence… Wrangler! It’s primarily a turn shoe but has some added features for the flip pitcher. Being very easy to control, it’s great serious competitions such as leagues and tournaments, particularly in doubles play. Wrangler has weighted tips that provide great balance for all pitching techniques. It rotates at an average speed for most players, with little to no extra effort applied. All edges on this classic horseshoe are smooth and rounded for easy release. Every Thoroughbred Horseshoe can take a serious beating… it’s part of the plan from the beginning, as we know our customers well! So, they should all last quite a while even with heavy pro-level usage… hence the two-year warranty. But if used only occasionally, a set of Thoroughbreds may last a lifetime. The option for the complete game set includes two official size cold rolled steel stakes, 1" x 30" and a guide booklet for playing horseshoes anywhere!

Mistake sent
The horse shoes themselves are good but I was sent 4 red horse shoes instead of 2 blue and 2 red.

Nice shoes with a bad paint job.
The shoes are a good shape and weight; they throw really well. However, the paint started rubbing off immediately, leaves little red and blue marks all over the pit boards. The paint wore completely off in places on the first day of use. Now there's rust in spots, day two. I think that's a poor quality finish for how much these cost. For the high cost I expected powder coating or something more durable.
