Good duty shorts
Very comfortable. I love the adjustable waist. I’m 5’10 so they don’t go to my knee. Very breathable material

Amazon Delivery Employee Problem
Item came quickly, and product is fine. Problem is... I received two packages today delivered by one of your delivery drivers, a young male. I am concerned why your delivery employees do not knock on the door, or ring the door bell to let the customer know the package arrived. With the none stop and well publicized theft of packages left at customers homes, I don’t understand why Amazon fosters these thefts of their customers purchases when it only takes a split second to knock or ring the door bell. Not only did this Amazon employee not knock or ring the door bell, he did not set my packages down nicely, he dropped to the ground near my front door; more like a toss. Guess I am lucky they were not fragile or breakable. This all was recorded on my security camera.

Overall, great shorts, but front pockets are shallow...
Really nice shorts - true to size and comfortable. The fabric is sturdy and the pattern (for me, Urban Digital) is very cool. The waist adjusters are authentic and work well if you need the shorts a little snugger (as when you're not wearing a belt). My only complaint is that the front slant pockets are a little shallow, so I don't feel as secure putting my wallet or phone in them. On my other BDU/cargo style shorts, the front pockets are much deeper. In the attached photo, you can see the depth of the Rothco (R) against a more typical short (in this case, 5.11). Measured from the bottom of the pocket opening, most BDU/cargo style shorts have a pocket that is about 5-6" deep. The Rothco pockets are only 2.5" deeper than the opening. If the pockets were deeper, these would be 5-start shorts, for sure as I like everything else about them (including the price). The second photo shows the inseam for this size (Large-Regular, 36"-39" waist), which I measure at 9.5"

Pretty tuff long shorts.
I ordered these shorts because the weather is warming up and I love wearing shorts. I spend alot of time out in the boonies, I have been told I am rough on clothes and footwear. It's that I get into really rough areas that tear up clothes and shoes. These shorts are described as military uniform. The tags are very similar, but these are copy cats. The materials used feel tough and strong. The camo patterns are top notch. I had to give them a rating of 3 overall. Reasons being they are on the long side reaching down a little lower than my knees. This makes it harder to walk. That's not good. Also the right side front pocket is smaller than the l left side. I can barely get my hand into it to get anything out. Like my car keys etc. The sizing is also just weird. The large ranges from 35 to 40. That's just way to much wiggle room. For me it is anyway. I am going to keep the shorts. I can hem up the legs, and that smaller pocket will help in keeping stuff from falling out of the pocket when I am clawing my way along those steep ridges through the brush that is so thick that it just rips your clothes and skin apart if your not carefull. Overall I think they will make it through the summer.

Looking to get mor in differnt colors
Not sure if I was lucky or the quality improved. I read some of the reviews here before I purchased the shorts went out of stock and I wished I got them when I saw they came back I went ahead and purchased. The side leg pockets don’t have the expansion lips on the side and that can be seen from the items image but it is a good size doe caring most large cell phones but not for going on any kind of safari. All the buttons were in place and the button holes were all the correct size unlike some other post to this item. The fabric is rigid and will take some time to break in like the non-flexible Dickie's fabric on their pants and shorts. The yellow is a darker mustard color then a bright yellow, does not match up well with a normal Nike, under armor or Adidas yellow, had to go with a Pro golf polo to match. Over happy with these short though looking to get more in different colors.

Comfortable and tough but not very cargo friendly
Wearing the shorts right now, haven't washed them yet so they're still pretty rigid but comfortable nonetheless.Crotch is surprisingly deep to the point that it almost looks like they're sagging, but it doesn't effect movement much.Pockets lost the star, I bought these thinking the pocket comments were exaggerating but they seriously only reach an inch or two below the hem. Deep enough that I can comfortably keep my phone in there but not much else.Overall I'll probably buy more of these, the pros outweigh the one fairly big con so far. I'll update the review if any problems arise.

Way too long...
So when I checked Rothco's size chart, I only looked at the waist measurements. I failed to notice the inseam gets progressively longer as the waist size increases. Since I wear a 2XL, that made the inseam way too long. The shorts hung below my knew looked more like culottes. Since I washed, wore, and washed (again) the one pair, I will have to keep them and just get the inseam altered. The second pair I'm returning and will be replacing them with a pair of Propper BDU shorts as their inseam remains constant at 10" throughout all of their sizes.

Exactly as pictured
Arrived quickly and in new condition. The material is tough and not at all soft, like military kit, which is what I expected. There is an elastic strap on each hip where a belt loop should be. I guess this is to hook caribeaners on or something because it doesn't, in my opinion, add any stretchability to the waist or serve any purpose. Those 2 missing belt loops means that you can't get the waist as tight as one might like so, I personally feel like I'm always adjusting these shorts. In the end, they are robust and seem durable. They look just like the pictures and fit as expected. They're perfect for boating and I'm sure I'll have them for years. A solid purchase. If you don't mind fidgeting with them to keep them up, these are the shorts for you.

Love Rothco, hate this style.
I have wore Rothco Cargo shorts for about 7 years straight in the Spring/Summer/Fall just because I absolutely love them. Pockets for everything just in case which is great for concerts and events where purses or bags "can't go", the baggy comfort, the feel, and the look. But these shorts are just horrible in my opinion. I have bigger legs which is why I enjoy the cargo shorts, more room, these legs seem to either taper in or not flare out as much so they seem more constraining than the old style of these same shorts. The material not only feels but is quite visibly a cheaper more plastic look to them. These shorts are also COMPLETELY BUTTERLY. Zero zipper at all, what-so-ever. That might be in the detailed description of the shorts I am unsure and unaware if it is or isn't as like most consumers, just assume its going to be the same good old brand because why change something that works so perfectly. Button-fly should be in the main header that's a big deal to people. Also due to the complete elasticity in the pockets (I know the pockets aren't rubber bands normally but there's usually some stretch in the material) it's very hard to get your hands in your pockets when seated, harder than before on the old style of shorts with the better material.But..... I mean, yeah they're shorts, they're cargo, they're decent... but they don't hold a flame to the old style of Rothco cargo shorts.

Great shorts with a perfect tiger stripe pattern
These shorts are awesome, little pricy for made in china but the perfect length. The waste does fit a little big for me, was hoping the 35 - 37 waste would fit tighter as I’m a 35” waste and they are loose. There are adjustment straps to adjust these to your waste though so they should last years.
