Josie Meets a Jaguar (2) (Josie Goes Green) Paperback – April 1, 2017

My grand daughters (age 11 and 8) just finished reading Josie Meets a Jaguar. Loved it. Exciting selection for our family book club. Here is what my girls say about book 2 in this series. " I liked reading the emails!" " This book inspires children to take care of our world." "This book is a good length for beginning readers. It has interesting vocabulary and words in Spanish." Reading about Josie's adventures I am learning good information about global warming. Josie makes me think about how we can make a difference in our own cities by planting trees. Good to read and talk about in a group." Girls speak their ideas, enough said. I just want to add that when I read the page about the authors, I was moved to see how environmental justice has taken this family by storm. The passion is inspiring.

Anyone who thinks that kids can’t make a difference obviously never met Josie! She and her adventurous friends know how to have fun while solving problems that impact everyone, grownups and kids alike. My fourth graders were so inspired that they started brainstorming to see how they could contribute positively to their own environments. Now they’re running their own contest: “Lets Top Josie!” It’s amazing how possibilities open up when kids realize the power of thinking outside of the box and working together as a team. Josie’s an awesome role model for them, and we can’t wait to see what she’ll do next!  Josie Meets a Jaguar (Josie Goes Green)
