My Life & Times: Spain Vol. 3 (My Life & Times, 3) Paperback – 7 Jan. 2021

This is the third volume of five about the life and work of underground cartoonist Spain Rodriguez. It has been more than a few years since Fantagraphics released volume two - Warrior Women. This one, My Life and Times, deals with his life in the Mission district of SF, where he sadly died in 2012.The book is about 50/50 art and comix, and those comix have mainly been previously anthologised in Cruising with the Hound. In fact two Cruising stories that aren't here were already included in volume 1, Street Fighting Men, amongst the Road Vultures stories.Spain never stopped drawing, and it is great see posters he created for the San Francisco Mime Troupe, and other works.Thanks to Patrick Rosenkranz for another labour of love, I just hope 'i' and 'n' are in the pipeline.
