Good but not great
My 3 year old son loves helicopters. This is a cool helicopter that has a sliding door, buttons for sound, spinning rotor/blades, and even a retractable rescue basket. He had trouble figuring out how to fly this (you have to hold the helicopter a specific way AND hold the button down with your thumb for the blades to spin). Not a huge deal but worth pointing out.Con- It takes AAA batteries. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but the because of the blade rotation function we are replacing batteries a LOT over here. Would have made my life easier if it had called for AA batteries instead. The buttons to lower the rescue basket don’t automatically stop. So if you hold down one button it will grind the gears if it goes too far until you stop- like literally you could sit there and grind the gears forever if you wanted. Poor design when children play with this. It would make more sense if the motor just simply stopped trying to lift if it got to a certain point.Major reason for 3 stars- not even a couple days after opening this from Christmas my son was complaining that he couldn’t get something “out” of the door that slides open and shut. I figured he got one of his small toys stuck in there but I saw nothing so I told him there’s nothing in there. He complained further “I can’t get red out” so I grabbed the helicopter and sure enough there’s a WIRE sticking out close to the door (coming from the front of the helicopter). I’m sorry, but a children’s toy should not have loose wires that are accessible to children. I’ve shoved it as far as I can but I now have to keep an eye on him closer than I’d like to.All in all, it’s a good helicopter but I wish it was better for the reasons I listed above. Hope this helps someone.

Not worth a nickel
First the compartment door wouldn’t open. Gently got it to open but now it won’t stay closed. Ladder extended but now won’t retract. Poorest quality in a toy I’ve seen yet. Sending back.

WARNING choking hazard. See the photos.
I found a ladder rung in my daughter's mouth. If it had gone down sideways she could have choked on it.Because it was a Christmas gift returning it isn't an option. So I disassembled it and removed the ladder.Even so this toy is a choking hazard that needs to be recalled.

Broken after less than a week
Very poor quality item. We've had it 5 days and already the pulley and the moving propellers have stopped working. For a childs toy to stop working after less than a weeks play, with a child who is very gentle with his toys, I'm very very disappointed.

Disappointed
I was very happy with the police helicopter and my 3 year old hasn’t put it down since. But just after a week of playing with it and the sound has stopped working. Very disappointed and a have a sad 3 year old who wants me to fix the the toy. I tried changing the batteries but it still won’t work.

Not sure if it’s broken
Got this for my son for Xmas. The propellor doesn’t go around when you press the button and it’s a bit boring.

Issue with button rotating the propeller
Nice toy but the button that rotates the propeller is located right under the propeller. It's very difficult to press the button without your hand standing on the way of the propeller.
