Solid Rod
Used this rod for the summer chasing Halibut. Dropped an electric reel on it to get deep. Solid enough to bring in the big ones - yet the tip is sensitive to bites… decent rod.

Great rod
Shipping was fast and very well packaged so as not to damage it while traveling all the way to alaska. Very sturdy rod with truly amazing quality parts and fit and finish. It is much nicer than any halibut rod I have seen yet and will have no trouble reeling in the big halibut I'm after.

Non-Roller
Great rod for the money, lite weight, looks great and wanted a nice non-roller rod. Matching with a Shimano tld 2 speed 50. Looking forward to putting it to the test this season. Would recommend. I've never been disappointed with any Lamiglas rod.

Made in China, not usa anymore. Quality suffers.
Purchased a lamiglas rod for the first time. I live just north of woodland, wa, where I thought they were all made. That's half the reason I decided to pay more, and to get a better quality rod. Wrong on both accounts. It was china made, I took it on one fishing trip in Alaska and after just a few halibut (no monsters), there are cracks in the gel coat on either side of the eyes. The paint was very poor on the eyes as well, much of it worn off after one trip. I took it to their customer service and was told it was all aesthetic, and not to worry. This was my first experience with lamiglas, and likely my last. I will note their usa made rods are fantastic, if you should buy one.

Awesome Rod
Blazing speed from Amazon - as usual. The rod is great. I purchased this for halibut season which opens in a few weeks, so I haven't put it to that test yet. No doubt that this rod has plenty of backbone for anything I can hook in the Pacific Northwest. I did however take this out for Lings and bottom fish. It was great. I can feel everything and was easily hooking small yellowtail at 350'. Great sensitivity with a lot of backbone. Just what I was hoping for.

Great Rod
This rod has back bone, numerous large halibut here in Alaska and NO issues what so ever. Quality rod at a great price thru amazon.
