PaddywaxCandles Spark Collection, Naturally Scented Candle, 10.6 Ounces, Salted Grapefruit

Love the smell of this candle! It’s not too overpowering. I like the design of the candle too - pretty!My only warning is to be careful when the candle burns to the bottom of the container. The piece that the wick was attached to floated over to the side of the glass, burning it so much that the glass cracked and exploded. Lucky I was nearby so it didn’t burn my house down!

I was a little disappointed with this candle. The fragrance was fairly faint before I lit the candle, but it smelled nice and I figured it would be stronger after being lit -- it is kind of a light, fresh, citrus. However, after lighting the candle in the kitchen, I didn't really notice much of a throw even after a couple of hours, and several family members said they didn't smell anything at all, so I moved it to the bathroom for a while. This is a fairly small candle (just 10.6 ounces, but even in such a small room I wasn't able to detect much of a scent. I've never purchased a candle in such a tall, slender jar before, and it seems a bit unstable to me, so I now know that I prefer a wider, squat jar. The wax may not not have been poured as carefully as in some other Paddywax candles that I have, as there are markings in some areas on the sides of the candle and some of the wax on the sides rises above the level of the top of the candle. The candle arrived well packaged. The current price of over $25.00 seems rather high for this candle and I won't be purchasing others in this collection (although I do like other Paddywax collections).

Have a part of a xmas gift to my friend that loves candles. Was nice to have this in hand for her gift. Smells really nice.

The first candle I received from Paddywax was made in the USA and smells so good; as well, it looks organic and textured— you can see it in the photo I supplied next to this grapefruit-scented candle.Not so this second candle that’s a slender tall glass pillar with painted on lettering—I don’t mind the glass and lettering at all but this candle isn’t hand-poured in Nashville like the fir-scented candle is and the quality is not as apparent. The ‘give in to joy’ is nice and the color is pretty; as well, the tall slender look keeps it from looking like those old cheap Christmas Jesus or Madonna candles. I don’t understand why Paddywax would hand-pour one candle and import another.I love citrus but I can’t detect the scent very much even after burning it for several hours—I can put my nose right to it either when burning or not and can barely detect a slight scent. Disappointing after the beautiful scent that came with the fir-scented candle.This candle is over priced for what is received. I can’t recommend this one as I did the five stars I have the other one—check out their made in the USA items instead.Thanks for reading!

I enjoy the light grapefruit scent of this candle. The peach color is nice too. My candle arrived with some wax smeared around the top edge. It was probably too warm when delivered. I like the joy sentiment, but it looks cheap on the candle. Overall, nice but I would prefer clear holder.

So, when I opened the candle, I put it right under my nose and the scent was so faint, plus, it didn't give me any indication of a citrus scent at all. Okay, I put it in my kitchen since that is where all the smells end up in my house - most of them good, but if I burn something even a little on the stove, that burnt smell lingers. Lighting this candle I expected within 30 minutes that I would walk into my kitchen and find a pleasant scent reminiscent of grapefruit or even salt. Nothing. No scent at all. Maybe it removed a kitchen scent, but I usually have a candle burning in the kitchen so that I can smell jasmine or vanilla or cinnamon or whatever the main scent of the candle is. Very disappointed in this candle's non-fragrance.

The scent on this is quite light and not overpowering. The print on the candle is pretty and you could definitely use it for something else afterwards. I do wish it was maybe a teeny tiny bit more scented for the price, but I also like that it's not overpowering and cheap smelling
