Weighty , sturdy, stable and easy to handle

Really nice ruler, the finger guard is fantastic for cutting with a craft knife, it definitely gives more confidence on the cut and means you can lean the blade into the ruler without the worry that it'll slip and cut your fingers.

The ruler itself is well made but the Aluminium material its made out of isn't sufficient enough to be used as a crafting straight edge for cutting. After several cuts across card, my blade has already begun to shave off slithers of the aluminium. Now it's no good to use as a cutting guide.Good idea but let down by the material it is made out of.

Bought as a present for someone doing a craft course and not used to using a scalpel for cutting.She reported it is wonderful and reassuring to use.

Excellent and finger guard is brilliant.

It is a decent enough metal ruler and the markings appear accurate. The finger guard is a nice feature, although it can be tricky to use - the hinge does seem a little weak and can be difficult to flip up, as others have mentioned. My main problem, apart from it being very pricey, is the "non-slip" strip of (hard, thin) rubber attached. Whilst this may work well on card or paper, it does not grip leather at all - which is unfortunately what I bought it for.

Got this to protect my fingers while cutting leather after I had an unfortunate accident with my poor index finger. This thing has been great. It’s wide enough for me to be able to apply significant pressure while cutting through thick hides and the small ridges keep it from slipping on the hide as well. Will be purchasing the other length rulers they have available as well in the future.

Have a few cut rulers. I don't touch the other ones after using this one. It's really nice.

It is a useful tool but it would be a lot better if it could measure from the end of the stick.

The folding finger protector makes storing easier. The scale on the cutting side is imperial. The scale on the finger protection side is metric. I would like to see it reversed or two models as I use metric almost exclusively.
