UPDATE: The problem cited [in the original review below] was likely NOT a product problem, but due to a filling that I did not know had eroded, leaving a sharp edge that frayed the floss. Once the filling was repaired there were no further problems. The product performs as I would expect from a firm like J&J, and I would give it Five Stars.=============================================INCORRECT PART OF ORIGINAL REVIEW: "The seven white "U-shaped" floss inserts provided with the product have fairly fragile floss that shreds and fails after one or two uses. Another product I used to use [seemingly no longer on the market] would shred a bit, but would easily last for at least five flossings [I would carefully rinse and dip into Listerine after each use for hygienic purposes]. Premature shredding, at times, results in floss filaments being uncomfortably left caught between the teeth.This was a disappointing surprise -- expected MUCH better from a Johnson and Johnson/Listerine product. This is the same product as the Reach brand which is at least twice the cost. The reach refills fit perfectly and I use those because the Listerine refills tend to shred faster that the Reach. Now I can keep one by my recliner as well as in my bathroom. How tacky is that?

My dentist recommended these, and I've always been terrible about flossing because I have very tight spaces between my teeth, and I frequently shred regular floss. Each flosser head lasts for multiple uses (of course washing them off between uses is essential). I do not like the mint flavoring primarily because it uses fake sugar which I hate, so I got the unflavored kind and I like them much better. Some of my hygienists say they feel that these flossers don't work quite as well as normal floss, however, I always get rave reviews at my checkups now that I have started using these along with my sonicare toothbrush, so they obviously work well enough!

I had an ancient Reach flosser that was getting brittle and cracked on the grips. This Listerine was an EXACT replacement for the Reach. The replacement flosses for Reach fit perfectly into this Listerine flosser. Even the grips are identical to the old Reach flosser (but soft and rubbery, now!). Excellent product, highly recommended. Perfect replacement if you have an old Reach flosser!

I think these are easier and more convenient than regular floss. Maybe some will say its less effective than regular floss but it is far better than none at all for those of us who do not have good habits. Head replacements are easy to find and have a smaller footprint than the individual flosser tools which, imo, are no more convenient than regular floss. Maybe Im terrible at flossing but I hate shoving my hands and fingers in my mouth so these are a good compromise for me.

I rely on this product to keep all the foods getting stuck in between my teeth, helps me save my good teeth and prevents bath breath from developing. Helps naintain fresh breath. My wife depends on this product to keep her teeth free of irritating stuck on food she has physical limitations, so this is the only type dental floss she can use.this is a GOT TO HAVE IT in her daily dental cleaning routine.

Been a fan of these flossers for years now. Very versatile, easy to use, and takes the frustration out of flossing completely. These make flossing easy and quick, and should be in everyone's home dental arsenal.

Great for cleaning the back up and down teeth. Made especially easy for those of us who have arthritis in their fingers.
