Yes it is £200 but you do get an 2nd free 5mA LXT battery as a part of the Makita spring promotion which retails at nearly half this amount !

Good value
Excellent product. Always research before I buy and I paid off. A lot cheaper to purchase online than in the high street. When will they get it it?, you’ve got to remain competitive across the whole market. Quiet and powerful this easily does what you want for a medium mature garden. Comes with a 18v battery and a charger. Always check because mort of them don’t. Highly recommend.

Not the best
Not very powerful and gets stuck often, cutting poorly and then suddenly whizzing into power mode for a minute. Definately not for heavy use.

Makita. As one expects.
Great for the job. Proximity guard works marvels against wall or edges. Reasonably light, runs for approx. 1h cut time on one charge (18V 5amh), quick charger charges - quick! Strong enough whilst not needlessly noisy. Touch-less string unwinding. Easy to set up for even for my height (6'6") , simple enough to clean. Happy even when cutting thick tall lawn(obviously not letting it getting that tall any longer after l correctly decided to spend few bucks more on Makita with 0 regrets)
