Perfect.
This part fit my Roper top load washer perfectly. It is a genuine Roper part, exact same part number as the official Roper site. I just installed it so I don't know about the durability yet but it was very easy to install and now my washer is working perfectly. About $30 cheaper than factory direct price.

Great value! Need to adjust Kenmore 500 lid hook angle
My Kenmore 500 washer filled with water, but did not start. Research revealed that the lid switch was the most common cause of this problem. With washer unplugged, confirmed diagnosis by placing wire between the hot and ground (wire with 2 allegator clips) and for safety a 2nd wire between the ground wire on the switch and the ground bolt on the washer. When plugged back in, this tricks the washer into thinking the lid is closed and it begins the wash. More importantly, it confirmed the lid switch fault as well as empty the water from the washer after the spin cycle. When this switch arrived, it installed easily but it worked only intermittently. With the front of the washer off, I could see/ hear that the lid hook to trigger the switch just barely touched the switch. With a plier, I moved the hook 2mm closer to the top of the washer and then it worked perfectly. The new switch would've earned 5 stars if I didn't have to adjust my old lid's metal hook. Good luck!

This replacement part worked great. We hopped on YouTube and watched the installation and it was fairly easy. Our washer is back up and running.
