Exploring Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way: A travel guide to the west coast of Ireland

I have lived on the WAW for the last couple of years and this book is great both for exploring from here, and for showing (and gifting) to visitors. The info about walking and cycling trails etc is very good, showing what a wide range of activities are available and allowing you to decide what is of interest to you. There is not too much detailed info given, but websites, maps etc are signposted instead, which means there is more space for the wonderful photos!Everyone has the ability to look things up on the internet for the more granular details of what is open when, where all the trails run etc, no need to have all that in in a book. This is more of an inspiration and planning book, allowing you to be inspired, to then look on the internet for more details and up to date info (or just to travel to the places and discover things for yourself when you get there!)

This book isn't as detailed as I'd hoped, it's interesting reading, but I need more to plan a journey. I would have liked more about how to get to places, what there's too do in specific areas, that kind of thing, but it's ok

The book contains lots of information on tourist spots but little in the way of “local” information on things you can do, it will be useful but not quite what I was hoping for.

The text strikes the right balance between telling you what you need to know and leaving you enough to explore for yourself. The photos are superb.

Probably one of the best books available on the subject. However, a clearer definitive map on back cover showing lines inland illustrating the difference between each of the counties would have helped a whole. Altho I was able to write on the map myself. But for anyone else I would recommend you do this also as it helps you organise your route better. Love the photos in book. Each and everyone one is beautiful.

This book is nicely written with some good photos and has a little information on every town along the west coast of Ireland. It will be useful when we finally get to go on our Irish adventure.

Worked well, did the job it was designed for.
