I purchased 2 of these camera lens cap holders for my 2 Canon 7D's. I have a Peak Design strap for one of the cameras and it fits PERFECTLY because it is a wider strap. It stays in place! The holder is made of plastic, so I'm careful when I put my lens cap in it. I first tried the holder on the Canon strap that came with the other camera, and it slid all over the place...so I sent the second unopened clip back for a refund.

This is a great idea and extremely useful to me. Keeping the cap on my strap saves me from putting it in my pockets, where it can gather moisture from sweat that I would then pass on to my lenses. But *this* specific product is very poorly constructed, and the quality of the plastic used is really bad.I have bought three of these, one as a gift for someone else and 2 for me. Bought the second after the first one snapped at the joint during normal use, much like the other top review here, and I chalked it up to bad luck. I got the second one and it only lasted 3 months of light use before it snapped in the exact same way.I'm planning to try another brand because I like what this does, but if you want something that lasts, steer clear.

for straps that are exactly the right width, this product works pretty well. However, because of the thin, flimsy plastic used in its construction, it won't really grip a thinner strap. I intended to use it on a 1" wide strap, and it simply slips right off, near-zero retention.It does a pretty good job retaining the couple of lens caps I've tried, but, if the clip won't stay on the strap, it doesn't matter if the lenscap stays on the clip, right?PRO:-works with any diameter lens cap-provides enough tension on the lens cap to retain it while you move.CON:-needs to be used with a neckstrap of nearly exactly 1.75" in width. Too wide and it won't work. Too thin and it slips free with no effort.-plastic is pretty thin. I expected a stronger material for the price. If this were $2, then the quality would be fine.-clip will rub on your lens cap, introducing scratches and ruining logos. Don't use this with any particularly hard-to-replace caps.The idea is good, but the implementation is lacking. There might be a similar product from a different manufacturer that works better.

Maybe the best solution for dealing with lens caps I've ever come across. I love not having to worry about dealing with a lens leash anymore!!! Excellent product. Love it!

I was looking for a safe and easy way to store the lens cap instead of putting it into my pocket and this product fits the bill. I am using it on side strap so the strap is thinner. It is easy to attach it to the strap and it is easy to attach the cap to the clip. Lost a star for not fitting firmly against the strap. It keeps sliding up and down because the strap is narrower than the space on the back of the clip.

This works great with my BlackRapid camera strap, and keeps my lens caps much cleaner than my old solution, which was to put them in my back pocket. Less cleaning, and retains the strap in an easily accessible location. Great product and I would recommend it to any photographer!

I wasn't sure about this when I ordered it. I must say it holds my lens cap on very tight. I have always used the elastic band type. It looked sloppy and I sometimes had to stop it swinging to take the picture. It looks more professional. I'm ordering another for my other camera.

Seemed like it was going to work great... Then the clip broke when trying to use it the second time. 3 weak plastic connections with the top and bottom part of the clip.

Very nice product. Although I've never misplaced a lens cap, the fear is always there and it happening on vacation would be a major headache. This little device easily attaches to your strap and securely holds onto your caps. It's a better solution than the lens strings which lets the cap flop all over.

Had one of these before and lost it. Really like that one. Bought a replacement and it broke the first time I tried to put a lens cap in it. Like others have said this item is no longer good to buy.

This is a good purchase since I was always losing the cap of the camera lense.

Works well, will be nice for those times I don't want the lens cap dangling on a tether.

Looks like it will do the job but less than what I expected.
