Well worth a visit
Who, honestly, ever fails to delight in the frisson of a naughty secret revealed? All the better that this tale involves showgirls and the rich and famous. The floor of Murray’s Cabaret Club was where those two disparate worlds from either side of the theatre curtain once met to rub shoulders – and perhaps more. The author takes us into his well-researched confidence to conjure - with generous colour illustration throughout - this surprisingly glitzy and plush side-line of London’s entertainment nostalgia.
