Seven fun little animals
Pay attention to the description: this is 24 pages long. It is a thin magazine style booklet. Don't be surprised when it comes. That said, the patterns are fun, comfortable to hold, and seem like they would be comforting to both make and carry. I especially like the tortoise and the penguin. Pictures are good and the instructions are simple. Should be easy to follow for any whittler. I'm very pleased with it.

Disappointing
Thisbooklet, not really a book, consists of a half dozen previously published 3-4 page plans from a woodcarving magazine. They include simple templates and reasonable step-by-step instructions as well as a tool list. The paper is heavy and glossy and the photos are high quality. It just seems to me that the price is exorbitant for a few magazine articles stapled together. I am guessing that you could get just as much info on carving comfort animals free on Y**tube.

This new book is wonderful, especially for the carver who enjoys carving small and easily carved. I highly recommend this book for new carvers. Working on small projects quickly improves the skills you only get is by carving often. Try it out!
