Zippo6 Hour Refillable Hand Warmer

Call me old school, but I love devices such as these. I've always enjoyed Zippo lighters and products, even though I have long since quit smoking. This hand warmer is absolutely fantastic! It comes with a filling cup that really helps with keeping things clean and the smell of lighter fluid off of you. I used really, really old Zippo lighter fluid that I had lying around my camping gear. Filled up easily and lit without so much as a hiccup. I'm plenty warm in bed but still find myself filling the warmer up at night and putting it on a sore spot on my body. I can't wait to use it at an outdoor or social event. The pouch really helps regulate the heat and keep all of the pieces together. I actually lost it the second day I had it, but found it in a coat pocket and was overjoyed to have my little device back! I don't know why it makes me so happy but it does :D

I love this thing, i dont know how it compares to disposable hand warmers on cost but I'd say it uses about 2 zippo lighter refills worth of fuel (maybe less) per use. It frequently lasts 8-9 hours when full (factors like air exposure and how much it stays choked in the included felt pouch probably extend the active time) and underfilling it slightly got me 6 hours on the dot.I dont know if this product needs ONLY liquid lighter fuel, but if its anything like zippo lighters it should work with most flammable liquids (that have flammable vapors) i like that factor in case of emergency.It gets very hot, and will keep your hands /fingers warm in the pouch, and hot if you take it out, really helps me keep feeling my fingertips in freezing temperatures.It seems like the catalyst is a platinum based wool that is called platinum brights or platinum ember brights. I've dropped it and the catalyst is a bit sensitive, the impact ripped a small hole in the catalyst but it hasnt affected the use. Just be careful if you ever need to adjust the catalyst pad, it wants to fall apart at the slightest interference.All that said, i love this product, its great for working outside in 30 degree weather!

the 12hr hand warmer i have burns about 20 degrees cooler than the 6hr one. i really like the size of this model a lot more because it fits in the palm of my hand better. works very well outdoors while im working on christmas lights in 35°F temps.i also got this to last around 8 hours on a full tank and the filler “cup” is a lot smaller than the 12hr version so it uses a lot less fuel and costs less per fill.i don’t notice a strong smell, but using any hand warmer like these you will have a very slight hint of lighter fluid if you smell the bag (which i doubt you’ll be doing on a regular basis.i will say that it burns about as hot as my modified 12hr hand warmer (~145°F). i have yet to modify this one because it gets so hot from factory which i enjoy very much.if you want a HOT hand warmer, get this one. fits a lot better in the hand and seems to burn a lot more consistent without going out. expect about 5 hours for the first use and about 8 hours after a couple uses.

I had no idea they made them this small. I have the big brother and use it regularly. To be fair, the electric handwarmers have surpassed these now that battery technology has improved, but I still enjoy using these and the old charcoal ones as well. There are some tips and tricks to making them work properly and several youtube videos go in depth on it to help. Even with all of that they can be finicky. I have not tried other brands and some youtubers claim other brands work better, but I'm a Zippo lighter fan, so these fit the family and I'm not relying on them for survival.

I have the 10 hour version of the zippo hand warmer and bought this for my wife. These things are amazing, and honestly usually last longer than you think they are going to. You can use them without their protective bag, but be warmed, they do get pretty hot, so if you're sensitive, keep the bag on.You do get a little smell from them, but I'd much rather use zippo hand warmers than battery operated ones or disposable ones.

If you get cold hands or even feet,these are for ypu. Hubby has cold parts these work so great. Need 2 pair of socks when use on leg to warm feet. Live so much gave a set to daughter's mother in law for Christmas
