I’ve always had good luck with Mountain House freeze dried food meals. Simple to make & flavors are good. SoMe definitely prefer some meals over others, but when I’m out hiking, camping & hunting I’m normally starving so I eat them all!!Good, Easy & Filling

Very good flavor and easy prep from these meals. Only downside is a package is one serving, not two as indicated on label. Recommended!

I really like the taste of these and unlike many less expensive competitor’s products the one’s I’ve had contain meat. You can find some varieties for between $7-8 for each two serving pouch individually or in kits but many will run you $10-11. Shop around as many local retailers will have them on sale periodically and even here on Amazon you can find some great varieties for the lower price. I keep a stock for emergencies and usually take some camping as I actually enjoy them considering what they are. The convenience and ease of preparation is hard to beat and they have around a 50 year shelf life stored properly. Portion sizes are rather small, most are two small servings but some varieties are single serving so pay attention to what you are buying, especially if you see a price that appears to be very good, there’s a chance it’s a single serving variety. If you’re very hungry and a big eater one two serving pouch should do but if you’re a small eater or using this to supplement other food it can easily serve two.

Mountain house makes really good freeze dried meals. Personally, I get hungry outdoors and have one pouch per meal, one big serving not 2. This box has a good variety and some savings buying bulk.

I was thinking these wouldn't be great but they're actually pretty awesome and they have a super long shelf life.

I'm very pleased with how this product tastes, the convenience of cooking it, and the 30 year storage limit. Will definitely be purchasing more items.

Lightweight and simple boiling (or cold, in some cases) water prep. Delicious meals and very filling. The meals say they are 2-servings, but not for me. Each one was a filling meal by itself. Maybe good for two persons if kids or smaller adults. Love the weight for backpacking, but these are good enough to eat anytime! Will definitely buy again.

Went on a three day river trip. The food was great easy to make and super convenient. Way more food then you will need for three days. Definitely worth the price
