Validated: The Makeup of Val Garland

This is one of my favorite makeup books. Val is so inspirational. Ding dong go get it now!

If you don’t own this already, but it now. Val is an indisputable icon and her technique is legendary. The images featured are stunning.

Not necessarily a how to but full of beautiful pictures that were very inspiring.

This book is among if not THE BEST makeup related out there. The quality of not only the book and the publishing but the content of incredible images and information that is shown! I would highly reccomend this book to anyone in and out of the makeup/ fashion industry! If i could give more than 5 stars i would!

I have read many makeup books and I can honestly say, Validated is the best makeup book I have read. It is absolutely incredible, packed with awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping images from cover to cover, to the point where it stops feeling like a makeup book and more like a curation of artwork.Validated is not your typical how-to makeup book, so if you are looking for something along these lines, I would recommend Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin. Validated is a collection of Val Garland's editorial work and behind the scene shots, with an accompanying narrative of her journey as a makeup artist.I would recommend this book not only for makeup enthusiasts, but for any creative artist, as there is something to tickle everyone's fancy.

I’m a hairdresser and huge fan of Vals work, although Val is a make up artist, this book really is for all fashion,art,hair and of course make up lovers. Vals back catolouge is breathtaking and something a aspiring hairdresser like me dreams of. This book will be a great edition for anyone’s coffee table and a must have for anyone needing inspiration that works in a creative industry. Long live queen Val!!!!!
