M. Graham is a Top Favorite oil pigment I trust for quality performance
Yes, I love M. Graham pigments. It's the reputation of being one of the best paints consistent in top 10 reviews is understated.I've been painting for about 40 years, I love to paint in oils, and I regret is that I did find M. Graham sooner.Don't let their reasonable price list fool you. This is one of the best quality pigments you can ever purchase.Ben K.

M. Graham & Co. series of oil paints
Within the last few months I've been trying oil paints by M. Graham & Co. Using walnut oil instead of linseed oil, these paints are much more 'environmentally friendly'. I like them so much I intend using them exclusively over those paints using linseed oil as a binder. No more smelly mineral spirits or 'odorless' turpenoid! Walnut oil can also be used as a medium and as a brush cleaner. Works great in that regard.

Best Oils I've Ever Used
I've started working in oils again now that I can do so without choking on fumes. I'll never use acrylics for fine art painting again. The pigments in these are wonderful, just like their gouache and watercolor. Cleaning 5 brushes took less than 10 minutes and required only Dawn dishwashing liquid after using the walnut oil. I will be using these with my advanced students as well.

Very Thick, Requires Thinning to Use
I've learned that shades of Van Dyke Brown can vary greatly I felt that this one leaned more toward brown than some others and if you are trying to use it for a grisaille that is a less desirable quality. (It's still better than Utrecht's version, though.) I hadn't used M. Graham before and found this to be a very thick paint. I have to thin it every time I want to use it as it's too thick to use straight out of the tube. That does mean a tube lasts a long time. I did buy their walnut oil to thin it with. For a deep brown it's quite lovely.

Wonderful Paint
I am allergic to linseed oil paints. I don't have allergy problems with the M.Graham paints. The paints are butter smooth out of tubes and they have brilliant colors. I will continue using them and buy more colors.

Excellent product at an Excellent price. HOW is it so amazing. !?!?!??
I love m graham oils over any other oil company I’ve tried. The price is great. The pigment load is excellent. The buttery ness straight out of the tube is out of this world. I couldn’t ask for more from an oil paint.Since it’s made with walnut oil do be aware this will take much longer to dry. Like a full 4 days for me. But I’ve since gotten a big tube of Gamblins white for my mixing white and it helps shorten that time since Gamblin uses linseed oil as the binder. And linseed oil dries faster then walnut oil.I highly recommend this artist grade set over any other set out there. Excellent product. Excellent price.

Nice paints
I have been using the M. Graham oil paints for a little while now. I like them for a number of reasons. Like all products, there are positive and negative qualities. The paint color is excellent; these are professional quality paints. The consistency is very smooth. They are very soft and remain nice to work with on the palette for some time. They are walnut oil based. This is nice in that they are considered a healthier painting option for some people. They do seem to dry slowly. You can take this as a positive or negative depending on your painting style.I have one tube that has separated somewhat; I am not sure which color it is offhand, a blue I think. I am always trying to find the perfect oil for my style. These are as close as any I have tried. To be fair, I still have a number of reputable brands to try yet. I bought all but this tube from a different reputable supplier; I missed having a ready purple after they were delivered. If you like to paint; give them a try. I would recommend this line of paints, especially if you are uncomfortable with oil paint solvents. Remember, you are a little limited in terms of media. I have mixed then with traditional oils, but I have been leery of using media for oils with these paints.

Very intense rich color
I purchased this color for use in a painting that required an intense purple. I was planing on achieving this with glazes. Early glaze application wasn’t providing the glow I was expecting. I ordered Quinacridone Red and Rose and was pleasantly surprised at how well the colors worked. The paint is very smooth and buttery, (walnut oil?) and stays that way on my pallet. Drying time on my canvas was acceptable and provided the brilliance I wanted. The colors have become a staple as I have found they give a richness to flesh tones that is hard to achieve without glazing.

Lovely quality but not alkyd paint
This is beautiful quality paint - lovely to use but it was advertised as alkyd paint and it is not. It is top quality traditional oil paint with a an alkyd medium which you can mix with it.

Comparable to much higher end and pricey brands
M. Graham Oils are absolutely the best bang for your buck. Though similar to other more budget professional brands in pricing, they punch above their weight in quality. I love their watercolours and have been a fan for many years. I am now a fan of their oils, of how smooth and pigmented they are. I can get the larger M. Graham 150ml tube for the price of a 40 ml tube in those high-end brands -- especially for some expensive pigments like cobalt and cadmium and still have some money left over to pay rent!
