Can Ink and 3 in 1 MG, Excellent!
Everything about printer ink I find somewhat perplexing. You have to balance printer cost, brand, and cost of ink. Rarely can you find out how long they last, especially if you print any photos. My compliments go to Canon because other name brands may seem to have better balance of the 3 factors, but after 10 years of struggling with other brands, my wireless MG6871 was on sale, and the inks never fail (ALWAYS have extras on hand). If you only print black, buy a monochrome printer, which may print astoundingly large numbers of pages--fast. I have tried one owned by a friend, and will be my next big home office purchase. The MG is a scanner (works with Canon IJ utility for 2 other scanners also), can always find the scans, the copies are excellent, color or b/w, photo prints are great, never an unsolvable failure

Fair Price Right Now, Easy To Replace, Works Well . . . .
Fortunately, the price dropped $10 on this ink cartridge since the first time I looked at it, where it was $25! It was the first cartridge I ever had to replace on my Canon TS5020 printer. The original one lasted for weeks and weeks longer after I got the warning it was running low. I had intended to go back to using an Epson printer I had when the ink did run out, and then use the Canon one again when the Epson needed ink. That way I could alternate between two printers. Unfortunately, though, unlike Canon printers, if you don't use an Epson for a few months, once you put in a new cartridge and try using it again, it no longer prints right. I had forgotten about that. Thus, back to Canon for good. Replacing the cartridge is also much simpler than replacing one on the Epson. You just snap it in, the blinking red light showing an empty cartridge is solid red again, and you print.

Canon has a fan - and the gray ink is GREAT
We've had many brands of printers over the years, with most being HP, with their tri-color cartridges. It always was frustrating to have to replace an entire cartridge when only one color had run out. This is my first time having a Canon printer, and I have to say that I like having all the colors separate so the color cartridges can be replaced as needed. They are a little pricey, but so far, very happy with them.I am especially impressed with the GRAY ink, which truly gives a lot of clarity and depth to full color printing.I bought the Canon both for the wireless connection and for the detail in the printing, as I plan to use it more and more for crafting purposes.

"Used" cartridges with no ink!
Updating after ordering another 2:One was fine, the other was USED and had no ink, despite being fully packaged and wrapped. Not okay!I ordered 2. One was great. The other one was open inside the box, and my printer recognized it as a used Canon ink cartridge with no ink left. Make sure to check the cartridges to make sure they aren't open when they arrive, before it's too late to get your money back.

Not a Good Product
First, this product is expensive for the overall "print life" it offers and the mess it produces when installed. For the second time, I had printer ink all over my hands and on my clothing! The packaging is tight and difficult to pull off. The printed instructions on the box are so small I needed a magnifying glass to read them. Although I attempted to hold the cartridge as directed, STILL, the ink ran our and ruined my clothing. And, with all this, I will get terrible print life. I don't think I printed 100 pages in the months I used the cartridge. I'm going to document the actual amount this time. I do not recommend this cartridge.

Do not purchase these! Printer will not register them.
Bought these in preparation for when my printer ran out of ink which was a month or two. After putting in two different cartridges my Canon (that does in fact take 271 & 270 ink cartridges) will not take these particular cartridges. It will not register these. So I had to go purchase new ones from Walmart. Thats $65 down the drain. Thanks.

Fits AND prints
We bought some generic ink cartridges for our printer and after a few pages, they stopped working. No amount of cleaning would get them to work. Buying Canon brand cartridges was the solution. The printer prints very well again. It stinks that we need to buy pricey Canon brand cartridges, but if we want to keep the printer and actually print with it, these are the cartridges to buy and use.

Dependable Canon Cartridges & Printers . . . .
I had this cartridge and a magenta one for a long time before installing them in the printer. In fact, it was months before I actually had to change the cyan and magenta cartridges, after getting the low ink warning about them. They both installed easily and worked just fine, as Canon cartridges always do. I doubt I'll ever get another Epson due to how new cartridges work in their printers, which sometimes is not at all, particularly if you haven't used the printer in a while. I never have that problem with Canon printers or cartridges.

Five Stars
had to buy this separately; if this had been in the multi-pack that would have been great

Now I have enough to complete the task.

Back to original Ink
Tried a knock off brand, and that didn't go as planned. Back to the original ink and now my printing is back to the quality it was before
