If you have bumps on your rear end this is the miracle treatment for you.I kept reading online that the bumps were fungus but nothing to treat it was working nor was exfoliating with scrubs or using salicylic acid for acne. Then I finally caught on that my skin was dry back there and regular gentle exfoliation with moisturization might work. My favorite is the purple label amlactin so I would suggest you start with that one even though its a little more expensive to treat the problem area(s) quicker and better. I noticed a significant difference hours after the 1st application of the purple label but I think it took several days give or take to stay blemish free.Once I finished the purple label I bought the green label and it does not smell as good and the consistency is a little thinner but I apply this every couple or few days and I have not had any issues with blemishes in the months that I have been using this. It also makes the backs of my aupper arms feel smoother and I use this after shaving my bikini area and the backs of my upper legs to prevent bumps. Just air dry and you won't notice the smell after a few minutes.Please for the love of all that is good and holy in this world please Amlactin never stop making these products I have a lot more confidence being nude around my husband it has taken more more than 10 years to find what works for me and I hope this review will impact someone else dealing with this embarrassing issue. Also I would like to celebrate that this means that it wasn't a fungus sooooo yay me hahahahaha.

AmLactin doesn't have the pretty packaging, flowery scents or brand name recognition that other lotions have but what it lacks in sexiness, it makes up for with a formula that actually works!I've found that it also moisturizes and smoothes my skin in a way unlike any other lotion. Rather than infuse the skin with oils or Shea butter or whatever, AmLactin (according to their website) helps lock in and retain moisture while exfoliating. The exfoliating properties make a HUGE difference -- I saw results after just one use. Skin feels softer and smoother but in a "natural" way, as if that's the way the my skin just 'is' -- not like I just slapped on a bunch of lotion or oils.The formula is non-greasy but needs to be rubbed in thoroughly and can be slightly tacky until it 'dries' so I use in the evening before changing for bed. Even after my morning shower, my skin is still soft and smooth so I don't find morning AND nightly application to be necessary. (I use it in conjunction with the Aqua Glycolic Body Cleanser so that may help.) The scent is slightly medical-y but not chemical-y... meaning it smells like something your doctor would give you, not a household cleaner, if that makes any sense or helps at all.But even with the tacky feel and less than sexy scent, it's still the most effective lotion I've ever used!

I read that Amlactin does wonders on the KP (Keratosis Pilaris). I have KP on my arms so I decided to try it out. I anticipated that any results would appear after several weeks of use, but I saw an EXTREMELY noticeable difference after just one use. My arms were visibly smoother and not red at all. I LOVE this product.I noticed several reviews stating that the smell is terrible. It does have a scent, but it is barely noticeable and nothing as described by previous reviewers. The lotion itself is watery and you get a lot in one pump. You have to really rub the lotion in and once it is soaked in, it feels like sunblock was applied instead of body lotion. I normally use half of a pump for each arm and a full pump for each arm on days that tend to be more dry.A quick tip: definitely exfoliate in the shower before applying the lotion. I applied the lotion after exfoliating and without exfoliating to see if there is a difference and there definitely is. The skin looks smoother and healthier after exfoliating.I have gone through SO many lotions in order to clear up my KP and this has been the only one that has really worked and provided long-lasting results. I would definitely recommend AmLactin to anyone who needs a deeply moisturizing lotion, especially if you have KP.

I have severe dry skin, I have had it all my life. My parents even took me took Drs when I was younger to try to help but nothing really worked. I get dark patches on my lower legs in the winter and it is very embarrassing to the point I will not wear shorts or a skirt until I get a tan. I say I have giraffe skin. It seems that in the summer with vitamin E from the sun it clears up. I am now 40 something and went to a Dermatologist who recommended Amlactin. I must admit for the price, I was leery but willing to try it. So, to be honest it doesn't have the best smell. No fruity or perfumery smell.. just eeh. It is a little greasy at first. BUT IT WORKS! So, I am willing to deal with the smell, which quickly goes away as does the greasiness once it soaks it. This stuff is magic to my skin. It takes away all the brown spots and dry areas even in the winter! WOW. I wish I had this when I was younger to avoid all the kids making fun of me, but I have it now and I pray they never discontinue this lotion. So give it a try, I hope it works as well for you.

I just found out I have the unfortunate keratosis pilaris. I thought it was acne for two years. So this was recommended as the treatment. I did NOT believe it would work. I had been exfoliating for months with salt scrub with glycolic acid, retinol, salycid acid, glycolic acid etc. etc. I could not wear tank tops or even some t shirts. My sister who also has the condition warned me it's very greasy so she did not stick with the plan on using it. I bought it anyway and just a few days later, it's almost gone, except for the scarring which will take some time. I cannot believe this works and I dont know how but it does. It IS greasy and that's my only complaint. I don't know why it needs to be that greasy. I simply take a dry cloth or towel and wipe off a little after application to take care of the greasy feeling. In the winter I think this won't be a problem. For now I'm grateful I didn't have to go to the dermatologist and this can be taken care of so easily.

This product works so well BUT This is $50 to ship to Canada. No way! So I made my own. Search for lactic acid on amazon. I got a small container and added a lotion to it with a splash of this. Works just as well. My KP is totally under control at a FRACTION of the price. I have enough for years. If you want more precise directions google how to make your own lactic acid lotion and some people have worked out precise measurements to get a 12% solution like store bought. Start small because it can burn a bit if you get too much.

this lotion is great for dry skin.My daugther has very dry skin and i have used so many different creams and lotion on her body but nothing really worked,i have been using it on her body since it arrrived, her skin looks so good, no pimples, soft and glowing skin. i also tryed using on my face to see if it could help with the pimples and the spots, after using it for a week i could see my face glowing, pimples starting to disappear, as for the spots they are clearing but i think it will take time.will buy again

I wanted so much to like this, especially as it is so expensive and I had read so many great reviews online that it would get rid of the keratosis pilaris I have had on my upper arms since I was a teenager. I used it once a day for a week, one pump is enough to do both arms, and it created a large rash all over my arms, tiny little irritated skin bumps :-( So now my arms looks far far worse.It takes FOREVER to sink into the skin in your arms, feels super plastic-y and not nice or moisturising at all once applied. If you try and get dressed about 30 minutes after applying your shirt will be stuck to your arms at least until lunch, and it doesn't smell particularly nice either.It's a large-ish bottle which I was initially pleased with and if I was going to continue to use it I would expect it would last 6 months or more, which is good value for money at least.You can't get your arms in the sun whilst using this or for a week after, so that kinda sucks too.Don't expect this to solve all your KP problems like I did, the only thing that has EVER made my KP go away completely was getting an amazing tan on a three week long hot holiday years ago, wish I could get that for £27.

This works as long as you apply twice daily. I find that it really decreases the appearance and texture. However, I didn’t find that it went away all the way. I have kerastatis on my upper arms and there’s enough results for me to purchase again. Wish that this was something that there was a permanent fix for!

Don't always remember to use this every day but use it fairly frequently - I've noticed a small difference, but not the miraculous difference some other reviewers are claiming to have experienced. It's very liquid and feels a little greasy but absorbs well.Price seems to vary wildly - I would definitely not pay more than $40 for 14oz (are you kidding me?). Doubt I'll buy this again.
