Excellent replacement for my BA745 speaker power supply.
I could tell from the pictures that this was not an actual Boston Acoustics (BA) power supply but was an equivalent. The part number listed was the right BA part number for my BA745 2.1 setup and the ratings were the same so I ordered it. It arrived quickly and was exactly as pictured and described. I plugged it in and it worked fine. I spent a while shopping for one of these and my patience paid off. This is a good piece of hardware.JimUpdate March 18, 2014I have had this power supply on line pretty much constantly for a year now. I keep the speakers turned on with a Bluetooth adapter and I just turn my Bluetooth source on and off. The sound quality is great. There is absolutely no background noise or static even when the Bluetooth source is turned off.Jim

Exactly What I Needed for My Old Boston Speakers
Exactly what I needed to power an old set of Boston speakers that came with a now disposed of PC from many years ago. With this power source, the speakers now work well with my new PC. Delivery was not Prime 2-day, but I still got the power source quicker than advertised.

Dangerous product
This matched the item I was replacing, however every time it was plugged into an outlet it produced a visible electric arc. I tried a dozen different outlets in several different buildings (work, home, etc) and it still arced every time. I do not believe this product is safe to use. I sent it back to the seller and they sent me a second one. Same story, this one arced too. Fortunately they refunded my money.

Great Replacement for my old Boston Acoustic speakers.
This transformer resurrected a great old set of Boston Acoustic speakers w/sub-woofer. They were fried by a power surge, but I took a chance that the 12V transformer took the hit. Nice to be right for a change.
