JJC FC-26L Professional Diffuser Box Cap for for Metz 44 AF-1/44 AF-2/48 AF-1 C/N/50 AF-1/52 AF-1/58 AF-1/58 AF-2, Leica SF58

Bought it after I found out from a local photography store that the stofen for the AF-1 model is the same for the AF-2 model, popped it on and it fit like a glove! And then I tried flipping it the other and it doesn't fit, I had to almost force it on...so those reviews saying that it doesn't fit and they have to force it are probably putting it on upside-down. so if it doesn't fit then flip it over! Does its job in diffusing the light all around the room, very wide! cons: It is a bit expensive for a piece of plastic, I would expect it to cost about $2 and I'm sure it didn't cost them more than a cent to make, I could probably make one on my own with some tupperware or something. But besides the price it fits snug, won't slip out, and it diffuses light perfectly!Don't forget to rate this review as helpful! Thanks :)

It diffuses light very awkwardly. To try to explain, it almost works like holding a mirror facing your flash, right about the flash. From far away, it does work well but the instant you get close to something, you really have to crank down your flash. In my opinion, it was better to just use the bounce card that is built into my flash than use this item. I had purchased this product my first year when I was interning as a wedding photographer. I have learned my lesson. In the realm of professional photography, you (most of the time) get what you pay for.Suggestion:Find yourself a nice bounce reflector or soft box to attach to your flash if you are on a budget. If you have a little more money to spend, get a Gary Fong. I'm not saying to spend a lot of money on a Gary Fong, it just makes life a little easier. Soft boxes and bounce reflectors still work wonders, if you know how to use them.

I got this for my Metz 50af-1 flash. The problem is the color is a little on the red side compared to plain flash, causing me to separate images and color correct them based on how I shot them.

Seems to work. Decent price. Seems to diffuse light. Doesn't modify color. Haven't noticed much of a difference from shooting naked though.

It works fine, I just don't use this as much as I thought I would. Good product, does what is supposed to do.

It's nothing major. Just a piece of plastic that fits snuggly over the flash head. Fits my Metz 50 AF-1 perfectly.

The Janco Professional Omni-Bounce Diffuser for Metz 48/58 AF-1 flash fit my Metz 58 AF-1 perfectly and works great! Diffuses the flash nicely to eliminate that harsh light from directly hitting your subject, even if your not bouncing the flash. Creates a more softer, natural light. I would definitly recommend this product, for all photographers.

As the title suggests, I purchased this for a 50 AF-1 model and it fits perfectly. Appears to made of reasonably high quality plastic and provides nice, even lighting for my Canon 7D. I researched this purchase a bit and am happy with the choice. Can't beat it for the price.
