Much needed upgrade
I definitely prefer the flip key and this was so easy to program

Looks good. FOB Feature Works. Broke Quickly. Won't Program.
I purchased these keys in August. In less than a month one had to be replaced. Replacement took a bit and of course there is the expense of shipping the old one back. I tried programming them immediately. FOB was easy to program. The ignition not so much. I couldn't get it programmed using three different methods recommended. None worked. I have a buddy that's head of parts at one of the big OTR shops. Arranged for a time for him to program the ignition portion NOGO!Finally took them back to the locksmith who cut them to pay him to just do it. Would not work either. The locksmith said they were the wrong type of encryption and would only work on 2004 and newer models. When I bought the keys I was sceptical, but the information from the seller said they WOULD WORK and the part number for my vehicle key was listed under technical data. So, I played dumb with the seller. Said I can't get them to work what should I do? Try programming them like this... tried that. You'll have to take them to a locksmith... did that too. They asked 'what kind of equipment the locksmith used'. By this time I wanted to say chisel and hammer. Told them about the locksmith. Long story short THEY SAID "these keys won't work for your vehicle as your vehicle used 40 bit encryption and they keys are 80." Then they added that now the keys are outside the 90 day return window.I asked them what they expect me to do since THEIR INFORMATION says they WILL WORK? They repeated the same B.S. They can do something for printing false information. They just decided their policy was more important than the customer.Bottom line: the keys won't last long as they are flimsy. You cannot count on the sellers information, so if you are going to sacrifice the money, get it in writing from the seller that they will work. Lastly, watch who you buy from...

the listing of compatible vehicles is obviously incorrect
These say they work for a 2010 Lincoln Navigator. They do not. I paid to have them cut and then the dealer could not get them to program. The remote seems to work fine but the chip seems to be incompatible with the ignition. The seller offered to take them back but I have already paid for them to be cut and the attempted proogramming. I also don't feel comfortable with a key that will open my door floating around if I return them. Very disappointed. By the way they have red accents not the silver ones in the picture.

wrong transponder chip, if one is even included. FOB portion works great
1st one, transponder chip was completely dead. no signal at all.did an exchange, the replacement had a 4D83 chip which would not work with my 2006 Mercury Mountaineer as that is a 4D63 chip.local locksmith shop was able to pop it open and replace the transponder with a good working one that matched. few extra $$ for them to do that but now fully functional.as far as durability goes, time will tell.

New keys
I like the style of these keys but I myself and my husband are having the most difficult time getting them programmed and he is a mechanic that knows how to program keys. We both made sure they would work on the car we need keys for. Which is our 2010 Ford Mustang GT. Not sure if we were sent the wrong key by mistake or if the keys have a fault by chance. If anyone has any ideas of what could be going on with them please let us know. The fob portion was easy but we can't seem to get the pats portion of the key to work. It keeps putting our car into lock out mode. Which is very frustrating. He has made plenty of new keys for newer vehicles and isn't sure why these are giving him such an issue.
