On Account of the Gum

On Account of the Gum is a fun, silly, story that is great to read aloud over and over. I love the colorful, caricature-esque illustrations. I love that the story starts through the illustrations on the opening page. It is fun to read fast in silly vioces. We've read it so much that my kids can recite it. My children think all the solutions they try are funny! What would you do if you got all that stuck in your hair?!

My 4 yr and 5yr old (girl & boy) live this book because it’s funny and the illustrations are also great! We initially bought it because we just started allowing our kids to chew gum and this was a funny way to drill in the idea of NOT sleeping with gum in your mouth! Well done. Side note - while reading we like to ask Alexa how to get gum out if hair - kids laugh at Alexa

I am usually a fan of Adam Rex. This, in my humble opinion, is not one of his best. But, what do I know???

My pre-k class is now obsessed with this book. It is hilarious and the illustrations are the best. LOVE!

A terrific idea, so simple yet excellently executed! I had to read it before giving it to my daughter for her 6th birthday, can't wait to read it with her!!! I just know she will absolutely love it!!!
