Odense Almond Paste, Gluten-free, 7-Ounce Tube (Pack of 6)

I would love it if it didn't have any wheat in it. The almond paste has the right consistency and fine texture. I made macaroons with these and it worked really well. The packaging inside the cardboard reminds me of that used for frozen tubes of ground turkey. The amount in each tube is really good for one recipe; this is really convenient as almond paste dries out fast once opened.

Well I went the cheap route with this product, since none of the available options had the right sized cans of paste I needed for the recipe I tried. Almond cloud cookies turned out tasty but somewhat flat, and possibly caused by the somewhat hard texture of the product. Flavor was excellent though. Would probably get it again. If you haven't tried the almond cloud cookies.. They are awesome. Double recipe worked fine with 3 tubes and tossing out 1oz (I faked it) of the paste. mmmm[...]

Good product. Delivery was fast. one comment for the manufacturere, though. This should really be an 8 oz pkg. Most recipes call for 1/2 lb or 1 lb almond paste. So the 7 oz pkg is awkward. Seems like Odense is cheaping out by eliminating that extra ounce from each pkg, but that forces the buyer to bpruchase an extra okg and waste most of it. This stuff does not age well once opened.

This is a superb product at a great price. I rely on it for baking ,especially around the holidays. The almond taste comes through. It is clean and pure with no bitterness. It is a high quality ingredient. Each box contains paste encased in foil so it remains nice and fresh. Amazon's price is great, far better than any supermarket. The Odense website also provides many nice recipes. If you love to bake and need almond paste, Odense can't be surpassed in flavor, freshness, quality and price.

My son likes to use almond paste, but this is probably more than he'll be able to use in a long, long while.

I use this a lot and as my grocery store no longer stocked it , I had to bite the bullet and pay for shipping

This item is so expensive. I didn't really save a bunch by buying the big pack here on Amazon, but the product is fresher. My Christmas ribbon cookies baked up nice. In the past, with the same brand purchased at the grocer store, they have had undissolved chunks of almond paste in them no matter how much I mixed them. No problem with this almond paste. I noticed the one I bought at the store (two weeks ago) had a "use by" date in 2013 but the Amazon product is dated 2014.

She like it very much. Used pears as was in the original recipe, and now will try peaches and other fruit.
