its a great little pump
Yeah, its a great little pump, until it starts tripping the circuit. You will call Zoeller for the 90 day warranty and they will ask you where you got it so you can return it to the store. They don't like you saying you got it at Amazon. They are not their authorized distributor.Long story short, 3 calls later, I have to take it to Ferguson's, buy a new pump and wait for them to get credit on mine, then they will refund the purchase price on the new pump. Hopefully this will be how it works out

Great little pump keeps on going
Second pump I've ordered and this thing is great. We use daily in our shop @ work to pump 55 gal drums into one gal containers for washer fluid to service cars. Hard wired it to 110volt wall switch and use it like crazy. Well built and worth the money.

and probably good value for occasional use
This works well for inline (between two garden hoses) I have used it once to help drain a water heater uphill, and my more knowledgeable general contractor says he has used the same unit many times for such work. It also helps when the water heater is slow to drain because it is full of pebbly sediment. (hint, for that, shut off all inputs, twist out the globe valve on the drain of the water heater, and immediately screw in a ball valve.) I haven't used the plastic sump pump fitting, but it seems easier to clean than my other submersible sump pump (plus I always feel weird lowering a 110v power cord into the water on my other submersible.) I cant tell how long it will last or else I would give it another star.. It is not something you will cherish for a lifetime, but it is compact and functional, and probably good value for occasional use. It comes with a short hose, which is convenient. This doesn't strike me as a pump for continuous operation.

Suggest you consider an alternative pump
We've had this in operation for two weeks. By that, I mean we watered a tiny garden area for a few minutes per day. It did a great job of moving water. Unfortunately, the impeller disintegrated. Without that, the pump does not work. The pump came with a second impeller. At that point, we could see why. It was properly installed and lasted less than 10 minutes. We're sending this pump back. Our mistake was ignoring some of the posts that spoke about this same problem. In case you are wondering, the replacement impeller piece costs $16 to $18 plus shipping, making this potentially one of the most expensive pumps you could ever own based on what it is going to cost you to keep it running. Some people reviewing here were fortunate in that they had no problems. This impeller design needs to be re-engineered. Based on what we've experienced, save your time and frustration and choose a different pump. We're grateful that Amazon has a generous return policy.

Great Little Pump
Used the pump for the first time to drain excess water from our swimming pool. Pump worked great once we primed it. It is supposed to be self priming but we had to prime it ourselves. Great little pump. We pumped water for a good two hours and it was going string. After first use would definitly recommend it.
