Q: Whats the point in wearing suspenders with a belt ?

Some people need to wear tools ext on their belt which kinda messes up the function of a belt to hold up pants. I wear them to keep up my pants because wearing just a belt isn't sufficient. Is it technically fashionable? No but the Perry style has another advantage! You never need to get buttons added to your pants to use suspenders! Clip on types wear out quickly, traditional suspenders need a trip to the local dry cleaner to add the buttons pretty suspenders though? You just need a belt.

Q: How wide are the straps, 1-1/2" or 2"?

The ones I got had 2" shoulder straps, not 1.5" shoulder straps, despite the tag saying 1.5". I just returned them. I would reorder, but I am not certain in getting what I want.
