The Young Girls of Rochefort
I missed the film first time around in 1968 as I was busy with my college work. Now finally I watched it in the comfort of my own home on a big tv screen, I reallyenjoyed it very much. Admittedly the music is old fashioned, but I like it as I ama musical fan of the old M-G-M musicals. George Chakiris and Grover Dale are verygood in this film. Both girls were beautiful, but not up to the hollywood standard. It is so refreshing to watch a film so clean and free of sex and violence and baddies, it just relaxes you. When I said that the leading actresses were not up tohollywood standard, I mean they were not real singers and dancers like Jane Powell or Cyd Charisse. Nontheless, I like it a lot.
