Nice Fit for My Candlever Umbrella.
Wieghts are Really Good to Hold the Umbrella Steady.Only Issue I Have, Is it Would Have Been Better With a Screw Caps to seal in Water. I Decided to Purchase and Fill Each of the 4 With Sand.FYI, It Takes About a 5 Gallon Bucket to Fill Each 1.

This is a must for the Abba umbrellas
For starters, I was appaled that these were not included in the umbrella box to begin with. It is not like there are lots of different options you can select from for effective base stabilization. It is either these "weights", or, mount the base into your deck permanently. Good luck if you are using this on a concrete patio. At any rate, if you decide to use water as the weight, the plug will not be sufficient to hold the water in. Try using a layer of saran wrap or a custom rubber seal prior to engaging the plastic hole cover. I used press and seal and it worked great with water. Without the press and seal, we had water leaking out for a few days before the umbrella fell over due to lack of anchoring. Yes, using a combination of pebbles and sand is best, but, that adds to overall cost and can reduce long term portability (we store our umbrellas during the off season and it is easier to simply pour the water on the flour beds simply carry the containers to the shed.)

Don't fill with water!
This works great for my really heavy cantilever umbrella. My only suggestion is to use sand. The instructions say you can use sand or water but the caps do not seal well enough to keep the water in the weights. Unpleasant surprise after a wind storm. :)

Sturdy
Looks great and works perfectly. I like that it’s 4 pieces so it’s movable if needed. Really holds down my umbrella with ease. Worth the money and I think it looks better than any other option. Fill with dry sand (buy the all purpose sand from INSIDE the store so it flows better) I bought 4 bags but only used 3 bags) I put water/sand mix in one sections but I’m afraid of freezing in the winter and I think the water already leaked out. The sand alone is heavy enough for my area. This photo is after 4 months of use and they look great and no discoloration yet. From Western New York.

It fits the base.
It is best to fill the four sections with dry sand. It makes it much easier and faster. The design could be better if the fill plugs were screw on rather than push on.

Gravity is your friend
So these are actually very easy to fill, but it requires a little thinking. You just need duct tape, scissors, and a car.1) Get your scissors and use the edge to pry off the caps on the containers.2) Use duct tape to attach the funnel to the opening. The funnel doesn't really have a spout, but it works just fine if you tape it to the opening. You don't have to make it super tight, just enough to keep it upright and centered.3) As others mentioned, make sure you get dry sand. I got three 50-lb bags of play sand from Home Depot, which was more than enough, and maybe $10 total. To keep it dry, don't take the bags out of your car until you're ready to fill these, and even then...4) Use gravity to your advantage! I have a hatchback SUV, so I simply positioned the sand bag so it was hanging over the bumper, lined up the opening/funnel under the edge, and cut a hole in the bag so it would pour into the container. If you don't have a hatchback, you could do the same thing by just putting the bag in the backseat of your car, with it hanging out the side.4a) The other reason to just fill from your car is that carrying four 38ish-pound weights is easier than three 50-lb sand bags. I work out, but I'm a single woman; I'm only so burly.4b) Every now and then, just shake the container back and forth to get a bit of a more even fill.If you do all these things, you won't need to do anything else fancy or laborious. Total, it took me maybe 15-20 min to do them all. And they work great!

Make sure the purchaser realizes how much room the base takes up.
Overall I would recommend this product. Good value for the price. Didn't take long to set up.

Great looking way to secure an umbrella
My main issue with this product is they do not attach to each other. I wish there was a system in place to hold them together.

Received a used item?
Overall, it seems fine but I believe I received a returned item. It appears to have been used since the so called funnel was all sandy. I haven't set up yet. Waiting for my umbrella delivery. The design seems good, but having an issue getting caps off. Hopefully, they don't bend or snap when I eventually pry off. Product info said to contact seller should you have issues. They didn't want to hear about it. That was disappointing.

Buy a Wide Mouth Funnel!
In principle, this base works well, heavy enough and full of sand, easier to move in four separate parts. However, to fill it with sand, this manufacturer only included a cheap, folded up piece of thin mylar sheeting in a funnel shape which doesn't fit the openings without holding it in place. The opening for filling it with the sand is unnecessarily small as well and it took forever to fill the four pieces. Why not make the entire top lift off on each unit? In short, there are much better designs out there for the same or similar price. Wish I'd realized this before I chose this one!

Relax, cause it takes time.
Great product, very durable. Lasted well through a rugged winter, no need to store base plates. For what it’s worth, the price is high and the funnel provided to fill each pod with sand was useless. My method, fill a wheelbarrow with sand keep pushing sand into the pods. Get comfortable cause it took about and 1.5 hrs to complete all four pods.

Not the fit I expected
It will not fit a cantilever umbrella because the swivel release on the umbrella strikes the base. Therefore it cannot fit that one section tightly to the frame.

Good product but not happy
It works for what I need but unfortunately need to screw the umbrella into wood before I can make this product work :(
