This trait makes it ideal for incorporation during the spring as it will provide a baseline source of nitrogen for all your plants. Feather Meal should be supplemented with other phosphorus and potassium fertilizers during incorporation. Heavy feeding plants may need a kick of nitrogen from a quicker acting nitrogen, such as blood meal if nitrogen deficiencies begin to occur.
