It came in box that was in a bigger box. consequently no danage at all.. it fits good. Not shiny as I expected due to the oilskin application. sort of a semi-satin finish. LOOKS GREAT!! FEELS GREAT!! Just a great hat!!thank you, Outback....

I had this had about 20 years ago and it disappeared and I missed it, kept meaning to get another one probably about the best outdoor bad weather hat you could possibly have it’s warm enough, but not so hot that you couldn’t wear it in warmer weather. You can shape it how you like it. 100% waterproof.

I'd give it ten stars if I could.came on time,packaged wonderfully, and had no damage. Ima small headed feller,can't find a fitted small that truely fits,this is perfect. After a heavy rain use,I noticed that my straps ta hold down my lid in a hard wind are attached unevenly, right ear comes down in front of my ear and the left goes behind...I would have preferred both go behind my ears fer both comfort and appearance.......

BEST hat I own, and I own a lot. Received it the week it was dumping snow and it paid for itself on the first day. Beautiful craftsmanship, super warm and waterproof too. Flexible brim, so it can be custom fit for personal preference, and it holds up to a rugged beating. I even appreciate the chin strap during brutal winter wind storms, though I never even considered It before my purchase. It really keeps the snow or rain off of my face and neck as I work, unlike the ball cap I usually wear. I get a lot of compliments on this hat and I would definitely buy another! In fact my wife wants one of her own.

Hat arrived within a few days, nicely packed in plastic and box. Excellent quality, price, and great look! Very comfortable! Received many compliments the first day I wore the hat! Buy it now, you won't be sorry!!

Pros.The hat has a nice good looking black color to it and it's a good looking hat. It is very stiff and durable so it will probably last a very long time and it stays in the shape that you want it to because it has a wire in the brim. It fits very well and it is very comfortable. It also has a nice little thin pocket in the hat where you could carry something.The cons.The braided leather chin strap will not keep the hat on your head in the wind and that is what I was hoping it would do. The hat will unfortunately easily fly off your head, but the strap will hopefully keep the hat from blowing completely away from you as the strap will hopefully hold on around your neck as the hat lands on your back. I would much prefer a chin strap that would not let the hat come flying off at all and so I will be replacing the chin strap with something that will hold the hat on my head.They put a very tiny hole in the back of the hats brim when they punctured the back of the hats brim with a very small piece of plastic with their price tag gun. So I will have to figure out a way to seal the tiny hole in a way that isn't noticeable. Any suggestion?Please stop putting tiny holes in your hats with your price tagging gun! I don't like a tiny hole in my hat, so figure out another way please!The oil they used to make the hat leaves quite a bit of oil residue on your fingers, it would be good to have the residue on your fingers if you needed to turn pages in a book or count money, but other then that I would like to know a way to remove the oil from the hat so it no longer gets oil residue on my fingers. Any suggestions?The braided leather hat band wasn't glued on very well and it easily fell off, but that's okay because I put another one on that I like better.

Better than what I expected

Bought this one for my wife as she was coveting the other one that I bought. Perfect size for her. Repels water well and fits great.

I absolutely love this hat! I would recommend it to anyone it wicks water very nicely, it fits very comfortably and is easy to reshape for the most part.
