I love their brand of needles. It's too bad they're so expensive. I have the Addi kit and the yarn doesn't slide as nicely past the connection point. I always try to buy the turbo onesies when I can.

I bought the item to add to my collection of knitting needles and have not used it as yet. It does appear to be sturdier and therefore be longer lasting than other brands of needles.

Slippery little devils.
Super smooth joins, super pointy tips. I had trouble holding these needles once they were covered in yarn because the yarn would just slide right off and I'd be holding just loops of yarn with no needle in them. I fixed this by putting a little ring of nail polish around the middle of the needles to add some friction. I'm sure people will find that a travesty of some kind, but it had to be done. Because of the slipperiness of these, I ended up developing a habit of pushing on the tip of one of the needles during my knitting, which hurt because they were so extra pointy.I bought Karbonz and thought I'd found the best needles ever because they had nice smooth metal tips but were graspable in the middle without stuff sliding all over.The reason I gave these 4 stars even though I've had such trouble with them is because I used them side-by-side with my Karbonz the other day (making something in the round via the 2-circulars method) and in that setting I found myself much preferring these because I'd gotten used to their pointy tips and the Karbonz seemed dull and hard to use in comparison. Also the joins in these are much smoother. The main issue with them was solved by the nail polish so I'm happy with them.

FANTASTIC knitting needles, made in Germany!!!
All of the Addi Turbo needles by SKACEL that I have purchased are FANTASTIC! You can't go wrong with nickel plated brass needles. A lot of folks think they might have trouble with metal because they're slippery. Trust me, once you get used to them, you'll agree that it feels like your're knitting with butter it's so smooth! I've gotten a few of my friends hooked on them by letting them try mine. ^_^

I purchased these needles for ease in making chunky hats, & they are just fantastic!! Great quality - the yarn just floats on & off of them!
