Learning to Look at Modern Art

The contents are excellent, but the edition was printed on demand with very poor quality. The issue I received is missing 22 colour plates. Colour images very poorly reproduced.

College level reading in contemporary art class. Well written.

Handy light little resource for Art students. I've only just bought it and have already used it for an assignment. Recommend this book for anybody doing Art History especially Contemporary Art Theory Units. Even better, you don't need to be a weight lifter to use it!

Excellent book for information about modern art. I will read it as I take a course at Oxford Continuing Education about the topic.

It is a great book to support people who want to understand the ways of art on the current world.

Have just returned this as colour plates are black and white?? Have just paid the same price in Waterstones for an edition which has colour plates!

Good explanations but sometimes refers to pages in another book which isn’t helpful if you don’t have it. Also there are colour plates but they are in black and white. Surely they should be in colour or am I missing something?

Very helpful and have bought it for friends who love it too.
