The item arrived in great shape and as described. I installed the spring and tensioned it to specs then added lithium grease. Works perfect!

Perfect replacement part for my garage spring! This is for the replacement of a right wind spring. That is, if you are inside your garage looking at the door, it will be for the left side of the garage (opposite of what you'd think). There is a great installation instruction video on YouTube by DIY garage spring replacement. Be VERY careful putting the needed 29 1/4 turns tension into the spring. I went cheap and bought a 1/2" thick x 36" length steel rod from the big box orange store, which I then cut in half to use as the winding bars. First attempt, I couldn't get past about 18 turns (I'm a pretty strong mid 30's dude), before being scared for my life and thinking there was no way I would get to the required turns. I headed back to the orange store and bought two more 1/2" x 36" length steel rods. This time I did not cut them, but used the extra length for better leverage (gotta love physics). This time I moved slowly each turn, while my wife inserted the next rod while I tightly held my end (with both hands). You can brace the rod facing down against the garage if you need a rest before resuming. I'm baffled with how anyone can do this by themselves, and with any shorter rod then 36". (You have my upmost admiration, if you can). I was knee deep in it before I realized how scary this whole installation was. But hey, I'm a do it yourself kind of guy. Good luck, and take it slow!

I purchased this Dec 2016 and got a full 8yrs before it broke March 2024...I would say I got my money's worth.

Our 20+ year old garage door springs failed, so after measuring and verifying the correct size we got this and it worked perfect. No trouble to install and has worked great now (one for 3 years, the last one we got has been up for 3 months or so now). Definitely would recommend.

The spring I ordered was a right wound spring, but the sent me the left wound counterpart.I say counterpart because my garage door only needs one spring. Because of this, I was able to just install the sent spring on the opposite side.For the product itself, all was well. It was new, packaged well and had decent instructions and labeling. For a 67 dollar spring and a quick you tube tutorial, i saved myself a couple hundred dollars at a minimum.

They last about 10 years and you either install them and they work or they don't.So far this product installed just fine and has been doing it's job. Don't have any other garage door springs to compare it too other than the once it replaced that broke.The spring I received also did not come with the bushing so make sure you purchase one. I recommend upgrading from nylon to steel. I did and it was well worth it.

I have had a similar trap for over 40 years. It still works but is rusting thru at the base from the rotting mice causing acid. I have caught hundreds of mice in my garages with no bait.Sometimes I will find up to 4 mice in there when I get around checking it.I have a lot of bird feed on hand and that is what attracts them to my garages.In 40 years, I have never had any problems with it.
