I purchased a NikonD5300, ASIN: B086PH36GW, ITEM MODEL NUMBER AFDS137 FROM AMAZON. To help me use the camera I have purchased the following books: Nikon D5300 The Expanded Guide by Jon Sparks; Nikon D5300 for Dummies by Julie Adair King and the Nikon D5300 Digital Field Guide by J. Dennis Thomas, all three books discuss a feature on the camera called a Custom Setting Menu. My camera does not have this feature in any of the menus or sub menus. Instead, I have a playback, shooting, setup menu, retouch, and recent setting. My camera body is also devoid of the shutter release mode button, (Fn) function button, microphone input and accessory port, and no Delayed Remote and Quick Response Remote support for the ML-L3 Remote Controller. I purchased a ML-L3 Remote Controller. In order to use this feature, there is supposed to be located on the shooting menu the feature to operate this device under the headings: Delayed Remote and Quick Response Remote. However, on the D5300 model I own, the release mode is a feature button beneath the multi-selector.I purchased this Camera a couple of months ago in 2021. and am confused at the discrepancies found in the tech manuals and the actual camera body that I own. How can I avoid this happening in my purchase of Nikon camera accessories and camera body in the future? My frustration is that I can’t use many of the features listed in the books for this camera.In short, I have been using the camera and find it a great piece of engineering; however, as I have tried to advance pass the “OH I AM SO HAPPY TO OWN A NIKON” and try to elevate my camera game, I am stuck. My advice is, if you are going to choose this camera as a beginner, make sure it has the the shutter release mode button, (Fn) function button, microphone input and accessory port, and shooting menu. Again, I find it to be a great camera, but I wish I had researched the features offered better than I did.

I bought this bundle to replace my 8 year old, 900,000+ image Nikon D3400 DSLR that I had worn out. This is basically the newer model that superseded my old camera set up. Function and quality are similar to the D3400 it replaced. I’ve used the 300mm zoom in full manual mode at two events so far, attached are low res versions of some of my photos. At full resolution the photos are spectacular. Easy to use camera for someone that wants to get out and shoot instead of spending hours learning too many menus and settings.

So far I do like this camera, I was expecting it to have a lot higher picture/video quality for the price I paid but overall it is a really good camera ad do recommend it to anyone starting off in photography

It’s super light weight and it’s so amazing! i got almost everything expect the sd card and the bag for it. I can’t wait to use it!UPDATE: I got everything!!! It comes in a bunch of different packages so keep in mind it won’t all come in at once!

This camera surpassed all expectations I had. I did buy a book on this particular camera and received it a few days before the camera and read all I could on set up and functions. The camera came on Thursday and Friday night I was taking amazing pictures of my sons high school football game. Great camera for beginners, this is my first camera besides my cell phone camera. Used the auto focus for a few pictures and even they were great.

Great camera! Photos are as good as any expensive professional camera.
