The Rough Guide to California (Travel Guide eBook)

I love the Rough Guides for the detail and info that sometimes locals don’t know! Have used several over the years for different destinations.California Rough Guide is no different. Easily found the part of CA we are visiting for the first time and are using it to plan our trip.I personally like the paperback. I will pull the book apart and take the part we need and I make notes on it.I found the digital difficult to use. You can read and have the info at your fingertips, but I found it less interactive, so less useful.

Planning for a road trip to California, I enjoyed this guide. It is update to 2020, too.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son. He said that it exceeded his expectations.

Clear no nonsense layout. Love the rough guides. Very expensive but I’m hoping we will get use out of it on multiple trips.

This book has so much information in it that it is almost too much. Instead of key highlights in each destination, it lists absolutely everything you can do in no particular order and mainly without any photos. It is useful but only if you have lots of time to read through everything. There are better books that clearly list the most interesting things to do by destination.
