Full sized filter
This is an impressive setup. It's the same size as the one on my diesel motor home. It appears very well made and will probably outlive whatever its installed on. Easy filter replacement as well.

10/10, A+, 5️⃣⭐️, etc.
The media could not be loaded. After reading lots of mixed reviews, I was hesitant to purchase these filters. I’m very, very happy with my purchase. They fit Racor 500 series filters perfectly. I would not use their provided filters. I designed a portable fuel polishing system to polish three separate tanks with over 250 gallons of dirty diesel (nightmare). I purchased two 500 units and put a 30 micron Racor filter in the first and 10 micron in the second. Installed downstream from the filters was a fuel pump (95 Gal/hr). I saw an answer to a question that said it was rated for less throughput, but this pump has been working fine downstream from the filters. Pretty heavy duty unit. The plastic (I think?) chamber could probably be more robust, but for $35 you can’t complain. No leakage, but I made sure to wrap the threads with teflon. Very easy to install. I can’t speak on how long this will last, but again, you can’t beat the price. Gets the job done easily and economically. 5️⃣⭐️🤙🏽

Nearly perfect clone of a Racor
This is nearly a perfect clone of Racor. The machining looks decent and I am going to use these on my power boat. Currently I have Racor 500s and really needed more capacity due to diesel bug. Also, this model is perfect for a DIY fuel polisher. Run one of these with a 30 micron filter and then into the smaller 500 with a 10 micron filter. The 30 will catch most of the big chunks of diesel sludge and the smaller one will polish clean. A cheap 12V fuel pump is more than enough to push diesel through both of these.Lastly, I really don't like the hardware that comes with these, including Racor. I get cheap heardware on something under $50. Come on Racor - use stainless! Anyway, anodized, pained, and zinc coated hardware is not the best for marine environments. But, you can replace the anodized T handle with the 3/16 stainless version available on eBay for not too much. Also, go to the hardware store and replace all the mild steel nuts and bolts with stainless. What's the point of a high-end fuel filter with cheap hardware that rusts within one year? I would have paid another $20-$30 for stainless, even 304.

Quality Racor 500 clone but beware the metric straight threads
Replaced a pair of 22-year-old 500FG's that were oxidizing to pieces with two of these. Quality seems quite good, particularly for the price. As others have mentioned, the 5/16 straight barb fittings these come with are M14 and not tapered, so if you need to replace them with 90 degree fittings like I did, your best bet is to get a pair of M14 to 6AN adapters - which should have sealing rings - plus a pair of 6AN to 5/16 barb 90 degree fittings.

Wrong filter models printed on housing data plate.
I'm building a diesel fuel polisher, and this is a good choice, I think. I haven't used it yet, however. The spare filter element specs on the housing data plate states 2020 series filters. This is incorrect as this housing uses Racor 2040N series filters. The 2020 series filters are nearly as tall as the entire 900FG housing. I ordered Racor 2040N-02 (2 micron) filters for my application. Overall quality appears good, The included barbs are for 1/2" ID fuel hoses. And flow direction is clearly marked on the housing "IN" and "OUT".

Requires a bench vice to remove the top cover first time
As others have mentioned, there's a problem in the manufacturing process where the top lid is on SO tight that it can't be removed by hand. I tried several tools and eventually had to drive it somewhere to use a bench vice to get it open. I thought the handle would break in the process, luckily it didn't, but I could see how it might. I would no recommend this product on this basis, as you may very break it when trying to open the lid for the first time.

Design flaw
This filter looks legit compared to my old racor 500. As others stated. Everything is over torqued and that probably isn’t good for the seals. The thing that I dislike the most is when you try to remove the clear bowl you will find that a socket will not fit because the aft bolts are recessed into the casing, I couldn’t even get a thin wall 12pt spline socket to work. I will get a cheap socket to grind down and then I’ll be replacing the bolts with Allen head bolts to prevent this problem in the future. For the price comparison to the name brand I’d say it’s worth it as long as you are a little handy

Information
Good product for a great price. However it would be nice to have some information ( like what are the red plastic rings in the bowl for ). I did figure it out, they float on water but sink in fuel so you can see where and if there is water in the bowl
