If you’re a matcha lover or love ALL different types of teas, you’ll love this! I’m a tea fanatic and I would have to say that this is one of my favorite teas I’ve ever had. You get both of the flavors of the matcha and the toasted rice. Sure, the flavors sound odd, but they totally work! I LOVE the toasted rice flavor. I like to have it hot and iced and mix it in with a coconut flavored creamer.

Japanese GenMaicha tea (a fragrant green tea with roasted brown rice) is a delightful beverage, and YamaMotoYama brand is reliably good quality. It is somewhat more expensive than most other teas, but the flavor and aroma can't be beat. The 16 individual bags in each box are sealed in foil pouches to maintain freshness.Note: Making GenMaicha tea at home is not too difficult (instructions for roasting the rice and blending it with the tea are readily available online), but it is a chore and the product is hard to keep fresh. So it's best made in very small batches (i.e., it's a necessarily frequent chore). And the initial quality of the green tea you use is critical (don't skimp!).But these YamaMotoYama quality sealed bags are so much more convenient that they're well worth the price.
