I almost think I would've liked this better if Lydia's character hadn't had such a strong presence in LBD (as well as her companion vlogs), and we knew less about her. She makes some of the same mistakes, and a similar mistake to the one she made in the LBD web series that readers can see coming from a mile away. Even LYDIA can see it coming. There wasn't really anything we hadn't seen before. While people making the same mistakes is very common, it makes us impatient when we observe it, and I was impatient as a reader. Also, Cody was a much more obvious manipulator; the whole point of George is that he tricked everybody. He had false empathy and a sob story right at hand whenever he needed to use them. In fact, the reason viewers knew George was up to no good initially was because they were familiar with P&P. The reason we know Cody's up to no good is that we've seen his character in so many books and movies before. There are some positive aspects. The novel does an excellent job of demonstrating how people mean well when trying to help someone who's going through a hard time, but end up doing more harm than good. And Lydia was written as still being the LBD Lydia, and yet also a damaged young lady.

Welcome Home...
Everything I'd hoped it would be. It isn't simply a moment of Lydia getting her life together after the events of LBD. It's a story of a very realistic young woman trying to put her life back together. She doesn't come storming back in to our lives with her head held high. She's genuinely fighting to get back on track. Some days are better than others. And it's beautiful.Lydia's voice is all over this and I'm swooning as I feel reunited with a character who we were meant to hate and fell in love with anyway. I loved getting more from Mary, as well as visits from Lizzie and Jane. But my heart belongs to Lydia Brittany Bennet and this book reminded me why.

When I started reading The Epic Adventures of Lydia Bennet, the thought that I might like it more than The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet hadn't even crossed my mind. But I did. Lydia is trying to pick up the pieces of her life after what happened with Wickham and though it's certainly not easy, she does eventually find her way. There isn't much Lizzie/Darcy or Jane/Bing but that's okay. They (more or less) got their happy endings at the end of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries so it's only fair that Lydia has a chance at a happy ending too. The fact that I loved this book as much as I did is a surprise considering I have never cared much for the character of Lydia Bennet. Definitely recommend this!

A fun sequel to the Lizzie Bennet Diaries and the Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet. Lydia is a well-realized character who goes on an interesting journey, and there's a lot of fun and drama along the way :) The writing was a little inconsistent - I would occasionally be drawn out by a moment of lyrical, descriptive prose that didn't belong in Lydia's New Adult voice, but that's the only thing I didn't like about the book and the reason it gets 4 rather than 5 stars. I recommend it!

... a LBD fan or even if you want a good read, it's the book for you
If you're a LBD fan or even if you want a good read, it's the book for you, unlike Lizzie's book which is a diary of the behind the scenes of the series, this is Lydia's journey as she figures out herself, and what she wants to do with her life!

Fun easy read
Fun read, but not as much substance as I was hoping. Though they did manage the impossible and actually make me like Lydia Bennet as a character. It is a cute easy read.

Pretty good
It felt a bit like fanfiction for the series, but hey, it's canon so it's okay right? The voice felt like Lydia; the story didn't feel cliched or forced; it was funny and insightful, like its narrator. Good spinoff.

Loved getting to see that Lydia was able to do better and be happier after what she went through with Wickham. I also really liked her career choice though I'm a little biased about it. I think it was very well written and it was a fun read.

Relatable and emotional
I really enjoyed this story. I liked that we could hear more from Lydia, and also that the neat and tidy ending for her set up at the end of the Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet didn't work out because often neat and tidy endings don't work out.The process of Lydia applying to college and the fear she had of it was just so damn Relatable! I think a lot of people in our generation will understand that. It was so lovely to see Lydia discover her passion for something but also struggle and succeed with academia in different ways, from professors who are set in their ways and prefer theory to interpretation, to professors who prefer that level of insight (although the glimpses of academic writing are so informal that it's entirely unbelievable as something someone would hand in for a grade).A really good, Relatable and tear her king story that I got through in 2 sittings because it was so readable.

Great book!
I watched the Web series for this book (The Lizzie Bennet diaries) and immediately bought the first book (the secret diary of Lizzie Bennet) which I immensely enjoyed and now have this book on my kindle! Great read and you always feel Lydia is projected extremely well to you when reading. Highly recommended this book!

Excellent continuation of the story in Lydia's very funny manner
Excellent continuation of the story in Lydia's very funny manner. Was a nice refresher to the Lizzie Bennet Diaries whilst still being a new and enjoyable story. Loved every minute of it and I already want to re-read it!

Adorbs, as expected!
Bought this for my teenage daughter, and here's her review:Continuing the story of the adorbs, the 'Epic Adventures of Lydia Bennet' provides closure to those (read: everyone) who need to see the youngest Bennet bounce back. The tone of the book is very different from the LBD series, and in accordance with the delicate topic being dealt with, is a bit more serious at points than the light-hearted LBD web series. The book is engaging and well-written, with the Ly-DEE-yah! herself narrating. I had bought the e-book, and would definitely recommend it to every fan of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. If you haven't the watched the series yet, however, get to that first. Why? Because as any fan would tell you, you need to learn to properly hate Wickham first. :P
