It was pretty cheap
Maybe it's fine for a starter but I was hoping for something mid grade.

Karate practice gi
Nice, lightweight gi that is perfect for karate practice. Top is true to size. The pants might run a tiny bit on the short side, which ends up being helpful because you don’t have to cuff or hem them and they don’t drag on the mats and get frayed.

Lightweight not tight on neck.
I am a 5 foot 135 LB adult female and the size 3 gi fit perfectly length wise. There was more than enough shoulder space, and I have athletic build, so men will fit the shoulders. I am also large chested, and the jacket fit nicely with no weird gapping or pulling. The best part for me is the lightweight stile of the part around the neck. I hate things around my neck, and most gis have a thick trim similar to the way a rank belt feels. It usually presses uncomfortably against the pulse points on both sides of my neck. The starpro gi has a double layer trim but it is thin enough that it is still flexible, not stif, and tho it sits on the same place on my neck as other gis it does not apply pressure ore tug even with vigorous movement. I ware the jacket on the tightest it gos. It is loos but not baggy. However if I gain weight I can simply Ty it looser and it would still fit well. The ties on the jacket are odd but I guess it is so you can ware either lapel on top, and it isn’t a problem as the inner ties are just above the side split so it works fine. The pants are perfect length for me. The waste fits and is not stresched so there is room for weight gain. The pants have good range for stances and kicks, but they pull on the tops of my thighs when I kick high. To be clear, they do not prevent me from kicking high, it is just I don’t like the way the pants feel when I do. To be fair this common with gi pants across brands so maybe it’s just me. The fabric is better feeling than most gis from a sensory perspective and is light and good if you get hot easy or for warm weather. But it doesn’t have good snap, tho that’s normal for lightweight gis. The belt worked but I prefer a size 4 belt. In my case it didn’t matter as I am not a white belt. I don’t like the logo all over it. It is on the left thy and in two places on the jacket and the belt and to me that’s over kill. Despite my minor complaints, I do really like this gi. It would work for TKD, karate, and other similar styles. It is to light for styles like judo.

Lightweight Gi
It does fit smaller than expected and is lighter weight than what I am used to for karate gis. Since it’s white it’s a little bit see through. But all that being said it does seem to be a good quality karate Gi so far. I like the look of it on. Pretty sharp.

Best Karate Gi My Son Has Owned
My 12-year-old son has been training karate diligently for over 2 years now and has gone through a few different gis during that time. He recently outgrew his previous uniform, so I decided to try the Starpro Lightweight Karate Suit based on the great reviews. I'm so glad I did, as it has quickly become his new favorite and the one he requests to wear to every class. What he loves most is how lightweight and comfortable the material is, yet it still holds up extremely well to the demands of regular karate training. The cotton is breathable and allows him to move freely without any restrictions, even during intense sparring sessions. The jacket and pants are well-constructed with sturdy stitching that has lasted through many washes. I appreciate that it's held its shape and color over time as well. The fit is great - the size 5 we purchased fits him perfectly with a bit of room to grow.Compared to his previous gis, this Starpro suit is much more lightweight and flexible. He says it's easier to execute kicks and grappling techniques without the heavy, stiff material getting in the way. The lightweight design also keeps him cooler during workouts. After a few months of consistent use, this gi is still going strong with minimal signs of wear. A few loose threads here and there but no major issues. I'm amazed at how well it's held up to the regular abuse of karate training. For the affordable price, this is an incredible value. I would highly recommend the Starpro Lightweight Karate Suit to any karate student, especially kids and teens who are still growing. The quality and durability are top-notch. My son is already asking for a second one!
