Excellent quality safe for the price!
Can't beat the 2 hour fireproofing and the reliable digital lock for the price point of this safe. Definitely a great bang for your buck safe. No damages with shipping and nice support as well. The security on this safe is better than most of the popular 100-250 dollar safes on Amazon, but there's definitely room for improvement in this category.Suggestions to improve the security would be:1. Use solid steel square bolts.2. Add an additional locking bolt.3. Use AMSEC ESL5LP digital lock instead.i wouldn't mind paying extra with those features included. That would make an excellent fire and burglary safe I believe.

Read this before “customizing”
The safe is good, works as advertised. Five starsProblem - I “customized” with the 450 gram dry pack thinking more was better. BUYER BEWARE!! The box does not fit in the safe. If you put it in front of the tray, the door will not close. It is too tall to put it underneath the drawer. The only way it fits standing up (as per instructions) is by removing the drawer. They shouldn’t offer a product that doesn’t fit.However, I contacted the company and their response was superior!! Within hours I was offered my choice of a refund or the smaller dry pack. They made things right and I am completely satisfied. I highly recommend buying from Steelwater!

Decent safe. I would have liked an overide key, but this is good enough.
Nice safe, and no combination to remember. I like the drawer at the top as well, nice for holding rolls of change.

Rotating handle/lock is exposed
the bearing that rotates the lock is filled with dust and particles, rotates very roughly and worries me it might lockup rendering it useless and trapping things inside. you would think theyd use caged and sealed bearings on such an expensive safe...
