Thick gel pads cover the ankle, malleolus & talks. This provides really solid yet gentle support in boots - I can't wear shoes because of the lack of ankle support. At night they protect & cushion the ankle, giving them their own pillow. Is it hard to sleep because you can't find a position where your ankle doesn't hurt? This is what you need. I can't take full advantage of the support in boots because I wear them to bed every night.I've really no idea how well they work for plantar fasciitis.

Very hard to get on and off

Recommended by my doctor after ankle surgery after transitioning out of the boot. It has gel inserts that should help break down scar tissue (still a work in progress). It does provide support without being too bulky. I've still been able to wear most of my shoes. I do like it and feel that it's been very helpful.

The pads don’t stay in place and move to the front of your feet

My daughter has broken both ankles within 12 months playing soccer (yes, you read that correctly!) She LOVES these braces. They provide a nice cushion over her ankles. She loves them and wears them at every practice and game.
