I always love Lamy safaris; I have purchased probably six since college. The grip, the writing smoothness, it's all wonderful. I am however dropping a star on this one. I believe I was given a used one, or perhaps they didn't clean it after testing, because I inserted the limited edition mango ink, and it game out a green color, so there was some other ink in the nib. Kind of spoiled the experience and I wasn't looking forward to the effort of cleaning up the nib so I could use my yellow ink.

My biggest worry was not receiving an original pen. I’m relieved that based on research and YouTube videos the pen I received is authentic (box was genuine, the quality of the materials and how it writes).No complaints so far. It’s a nice pen and the mango color stands out.Purchased from Junipers

The recipient of this fountain pen loved it. She had a little happiness fit and started dancing around when she opened the package. She loved the color of mango and she tried it out right away and also loved the blue ink and the way it was writing. A successful present!
